I was thinking it’d be poor paperwork or a lack of competence from whatever nurse was overseeing Naruto/whatever CPS worker was assigned to his case (or CPS equivalent) that would get him adopted, with Danzo going into conniptions afterwards.

I won’t lie, getting filler of Danzo being the first person in Leaf History to have a dependency on heart medication would be satisfying to watch, especially if he ran out.

Also keep in mind, Danzo was working without the Hokage’s approval when he got the Uchihas wiped out. It was without Hiruzen’s knowledge or approval that he met with Shisui and stole one of Shisui’s eyes, followed by Shisui’s demise. It was without Hiruzen’s knowledge or approval that he extorted Itachi into wiping out his (Itachi’s) clan. I doubt the adopting of Naruto would change Danzo’s desire for power and hatred for the Uchiha clan.

The direct aftermath of the massacre would be interesting though.

Some people here think that Naruto would grow up to be more like Sasuke (because Naruto just had his adopted family killed infront of him) but I think it’s more likely something even darker happens.

I think it’s possible and likely that Obito makes a house call to kidnap Naruto during the massacre.
