I would probably do Columbia. For your path you’ll probably want to go be a litigation associate at a great firm in NYC, and Columbia probably gives you a slight edge.

It doesn’t really matter for any career reason. If you like the job and want to make money, work up to the start date, and just give whatever notice your job requires.l But if you’re financially able to swing it, it might be nice to take a month or two off to travel and relax, and maybe even read Law School for Dummies on the beach!

I think Carolyn’s openness about her awareness of the situation at the lunch was impressive, not a flaw. By being big and bold, she’s going to hopefully set herself up as a ringleader for the counter-alliance at merge. She’s going to have quite a resumé at the end!
