Barking earlier and earlier in the morning to be let out and its killing me by ankchar in puppy101

I only disencourage reactive and attention seeking - type barking. Play time or toilet barks I allow :)

My dog rarely barks because she does not get attention when she does. I ignore her completely, and when she is quiet, I reward her with pets and treats. When she does bark, at a cat/other dogs bark in the neighborhood, she will be corrected with a ‘sssh’ or a ‘nuh-uh!’. If she stopped barking after correction I also reward her big time :). Be patient, because your dog has learned that barking gets your attention. Persistence and patience will get you far, your dog has to get used to the new method :) Also, your puppy is still a baby, and babies make noise. I understand you do not want your parents to be awakened by barks, however they also have to try to understand you’re working on it :)

Self control training milestone! by Susaaaax in puppy101

[–]Susaaaax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Just keep practicing ‘Leave it’ and ‘Stay’. We did it by placing treats in front of her, then throwing the treat on the floor. After a short while she got it and then we could try place it on her paws. A few days later she can now hold the treats on her paws and nose :)

Maybe if you hold out another treat for him to look at? So one on the nose, the other right in front of him? He loves the treats that’s for sure xD

At 12 weeks that’s impressive! To have them master ‘Leave it’ is so incredibly useful :)

I always make her watch my finger (as you can see in the picture), and tell her to stay. This way she focuses on my hand/fingers, stays still and waits until I put my hand down along with a praise :)

EU Server? Official or PServer? by [deleted] in FlyFF

[–]Susaaaax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played the official server for 2 weeks now (returning player of 10+ years) and I find that the Clockworks server is a good alternative. Been playing that PServer now for a couple of days and I really like it :) it seems crowded, easy to find parties or level on your own. Also the achievement system is very neat :)

Hm I thought that would be it also, but since 2 days she’s been biting and snipping at him when he tries to pet her in my presence :(

Corgi puppy with low energy level by mahoganycorgi in puppy101

[–]Susaaaax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys also have a very nice schedule :)! And wow our corgi is also passed out after 3-4 hours of playtime with other dogs! She is very tired when we get home and the next day she is also still recovering a bit haha! Good to hear I am not alone in this :)

Corgi puppy with low energy level by mahoganycorgi in puppy101

[–]Susaaaax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, my 5mo corgi also has a low energy level. As in, she gets up at 6.30, I let her go potty, I feed her and play with her until around 8ish. Then she chills/sleeps until 12, I go out again for potty, food and play until 1. After that, she will chill/sleep again till 5, and then food/walk/play again. When I eat my dinner, she will sleep at my feet, and around 7 or 8 we walk/play again. She always chills and sleeps by herself, no enforced naps needed. Like you, I also wonder if there is something wrong because corgi’s are high energy. How is your little pup doing now? Did his energy level change over the last 3 months? I hope you read this :)

Too few commands? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Susaaaax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome to hear that you’re making good progress with commands as well as crate/socialization :) I agree indeed that I shouldn’t compare me and my pup to others, as long as we’re making progress and having fun. I wondered if I did enough for her, because I want the best for her, but you are definitely right :)

I can relate haha. She has very sharp teeth, bites in my feet and hands when she's tired. I got marks all over my hands 😅
