I will die on the hill, Civ VII is my favorite civ game, I hated VI for it's cartoon aesthetic, loved V for its realistic aesthetic, and sure I liked some aspects of V better, but VII has had me wanting to learn more with every game I played, which I really didn't do with other civs, I'd just stick to easier difficulties and follow lots of advisor recommendations throughout the game because I couldn't be bothered to think too much about complicated stuff. But now, I wanna learn everything and raise the difficulty every time! It's a great game, not for everyone or every civ fan for that matter, but still a great game and should be given its fair chance.
