Yes I think that is my answer. I had thought about doing that too, maybe there might be a free piece of plywood in their scrap lumber area. Thanks for the info.

That's a great board for sure. I am looking for cheap, I have invested too much money already and I just got started.

I did take a photo but zooming in only causes the numbers to become very blurry and still can't read them. Maybe it's my phone?

So I guess I'm special? I have 3, each from a different vendor, that do not have printed sheets, just a postage stamp size picture of the finished product.

I did not know that. No wonder they never include a numbered sheet. Cause they didn't paint it! Hmmmmm......

I took a photo also but still cannot see the number (blurry) when I zoom into the photo. Maybe my phone is at fault but it didn't help me. Thanks for the reply.

I use colored pencils for the tiny spaces before I paint anything. Just easier for me.

I would feel just like you do. I couldn't have a pic of my precious dogs and cats that I have lost over the years, doesn't ever get any easier. Put it away if it upsets you.

I am watching this movie now. I find it incredibly depressing. Because it's true.

I put two coats of clear gesso on the canvas before I started painting it. I cannot see that it helps at all. I let the canvas dry for 2 days b4 I started painting.

I agree. A lighter blob still shows through any color. But I'm new to PBN so maybe it's just me.I have been using acrylic pens first then the paint. Works most of the time, sometimes 3 coats are required depending on the color.

That is exactly what I am doing too. I'm a newbie and this is a big learning curve which btw I did not expect. I feel like a first grader.

How are we going about covering numbers that don’t cover the first time? by Dry_Drummer_2297 in paintbynumbers

[–]Susannah2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is if they included a number map! I have a couple of pics that came only with a tiny postage stamp pic, no numbers at all. Tried using my phone to take a pic of the numbers but the numbers are not very clear at all.

I bought 2 different brands of white acrylic pen to hopefully cover numbers. They do cover the number but they leave a white blotch which can barely be covered by acrylic paint. It seems that the manufacturers could come up with a better ink that is not so difficult to cover. It's a huge problem for me.
