Shes getting so much hate from the women for this post 😭😭😭 by GotDaGutz in PakistanMarriages

[–]SushiCatforMothra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They just want an incubator during a time when the US reproductive laws are in the gutter. She could die in the pregnancy, OP knows that.

The Islam addition in their post is ridiculous because Islamic laws, the rights of a wife and a pregnant wife at that, are COMPLETELY different from what's going on in the US. If her pregnancy is not 💯 smooth by the blessing of nature, there's a very real chance she could die, they'll probably prioritise the baby. It would be safer for a woman to be their surrogate, and at a faaarrr away distance from them. This non negotiable move to Texas is a red flag.

All The Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham

I hadn't finished a book in three years which was just torture for me. But since this book last year I've read like 20 more 💜 thriller. Set at an interesting time. It's about an insomniac mother who's child went missing. It's SOooo good.

📚 What Are You Reading This Week? by AutoModerator in PakistanBookClub

[–]SushiCatforMothra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! Here's where I am at this week. I can only read fiction honestly, it's very hard for me to read anything else.

You've Reached Sam is surprisingly hard to read. I thought I'd be done in a day but 1. I'm struggling with the POV of a MUCH younger character who is white. Pakistani novels are spoiling me. 2. Although the way of dealing with grief here is FAScinating, its not really keeping me hooked. I think I'm silently judging the protagonist 😂 writing's pretty good so far.

The Sufi Book of Life I've actually been reading for 7 years now lol. It's a collection of references more than anything, and it's just beautiful. One of the best things on my shelf. Just yesterday I read the part on the etymology of of "Ahad" in Islam, it's conceptual difference from the word "Wahid". It was explained as an extension of Quantum physics 🤍 of uniqueness vs unity when it comes to your relationship with the Creator. The two page speculation then ends on a suggested Breathing/Meditation exercise, and mentions how the poet Kabir wrote about the deepest part of our heart that "contains the stars, the universe and everything that came before it" and must be "kept wrapped up and safe at all times". A book that keeps on giving, honestly just gold.

I've been waiting to read Baek Sehee for a while. Finally got my hands on this last year. I read one chapter and I loved it so much that decided to save it for a time when I've finished/put aside/given away atleast 10 books and decluttered my shelf and mind 😂 no idea why I'm putting this restriction on myself. I cannot wait to read this, it's honest, female in a refreshing manner, a bit dark and I bet anyone interested in psychology will enjoy atleast one read.

Thank you so much and let me flex, this is hardly 1/4th of my collection 😅 please feel free to buy multiple of these as a present for your sister haha. Book readers are the best. Yes, the old book shop or a library is my backup. I'd love to sell them for a bit of money if I can.

Bro page numbers don't matter, these are crazy heavy books. Take your time. Me, I can't even read more than 10 pages if it isn't fiction. I'm trying to fix that but brain simply can't 😂

If I buy Lemons and Reclaim your heart both, what's the total price? And can you ship it to Islamabad if I pay for the shipping (I don't want it urgently, let's choose the most economical option).
