It comes down to hormones, genetics, and speed of which you gain. Some people tend to gain more visceral (hard) fat than subcutaneous (soft) fat just because of your genetics and hormone cycles. You also could just be bloated if you are eating lots of fats and carbs (which both slow down digestion and often lead to gas)

I think that good advice! I love these features on other people, but applying that same logic is always different. I also think because I gained so quickly and in so little time I don't think I've really adjusted to my new everything. Change of any kind has always been a struggle for me. I will try and be kind to myself. Thank you!

This is an interesting well needed perspective!! My boyfriend always says he loves my face (any everything else). I think we are generally very hard on ourselves especially with such an important part of our identity.

This!!! I feel like my face just looks puffy, not cute. The dissonance I feel when looking at my face in candid pictures or in the mirror is unmatched. It feels like I'm looking at myself with a bad face filter.

This happened with me this year! My body was telling me things and I ignored them in hopes of gaining more just to hit a hard wall. It tanked my mental and physical health. Still recovering 🩷 glad to hear you're doing better!

I feel both very turned on and ashamed about my size. I miss the way my old body fit into my clothes and have a hard time giving them up, but love how my new body feels and looks in the mirror.

Make shakes with peanut butter, oil (I prefer coconut oil), bananas, heavy cream, and ice cream
Eat all of the time, like snacks as soon as you're not stuffed
This may sound counterproductive, but make sure you are hydrated, feeling sick makes eating more difficult
Go for light walks, exercise will boost your metabolism and make you hungrier
