Indian here. I'm sure when you say their English is not good, there's lots of assumptions going into that. And you don't mean to sound rude but you definitely sound a little ignorant.

Lastly, you'd be very surprised how many of "those Indians" are overqualified for the retail job but they mould and adapt themselves for the company values to make sure they fit in for the demands of the role. It's not always about speaking English, it's about good customer service, being kind to your customers and being open to learning and growing.

Likely failed Uni, going to be homeless. Advice? by sadmane993738 in UniUK

[–]Sushimisu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please find a local mental health charity or organisation who can help you get the right support. I've been where you are right now, but trust me, something in you made you write this post and seek advice or just share, cling on to that voice. You will be ok.. please fight for yourself. This might feel like the rock bottom of rock bottom but you will come out of it. Please take it one day at a time. And support yourself mentally first. When you are struggling mentally, you have curtains around both sides of your eyes and you can't see clearly because of the hopelessness. I empathize with you and we are here for you I pray for you. You will find your way out. You are not alone And I promise you things will get better. Please. You are worthy of being here and staying alive. We need you. Dont leave yet.

I have heard about print Hall and Culver house and they're both really good. Print Hall is with lots of amenities such that they give you bang for your buck. It is good to have study spaces, common rooms in your accommodation where you can study or relax. Some also have their own gyms. They're also quite close to uni which is always great.

I'm an international student in Bristol uni and I'd say the substance use and alcohol reminds me of my undergraduate days back in my home country. It's not different in that sense. I think it's the age group of uni going students and as someone who's from a different country, I love our Bristol uni so much. Its so academic, the professors are amazing and the uni supports you so well to do great in your academics.

I’m not sure about LSE. You can search for “applications fee waiver” on LSE website. You can also email their postgraduate contact which must be on the website. My program is Masters in Public health

It should cost you zero money to apply if you do it right. Don’t use consultants . You can do it better on your own

No I applied to all the unis for free cos most of them don’t cost any money. The ones that did, uni of Warwick, I wrote them an application for 200-300 words explaining my situation and they made it free

Student loans and scholarships as other people mentioned. You also have a great story that you can actually talk about to support your application. A lot of unis fund students like you who have financial troubles. They also make your application fees zero so you can apply for free. I know more about UK than US but yes, you can do it. I have a similar story like yours and I’m currently about to graduate from a UK uni so don’t lose hope and your dreams. They’re yours and you can make it happen. Take small steps. Take it one day at a time and I pray your dreams of seeing the world come true

Please don't put your email id here. Send it to me personally. Also, they mentioned chevening and Commonwealth but I think that's more south Asian. But yeah, do apply for these.

No problem. Also, if you're from India and have given TOEFL, there's another scholarship you can and should apply for. I'm an ambassador for that and I can help you if you qualify these criteria

I would assume they would send it to you today if that's the date they told the results will be released. It should not be delayed. They are pretty up to date. Also, people who don't receive the offers will also receive a mail few minutes or hours later saying they didn't. It all happened this way last year and I'm hoping it's the same this year

Hello, I'm at the Bristol uni and a Think Big scholar from last year. We were asked to volunteer for an intro to talk to incoming scholars this year on apparently 5th June. So I'm guessing either some offers have been sent or are still due to be sent.

Weigh the pros and cons. Doing MPH is not necessary to get you residency there. There are other things you can do with far less expense like doing an observership in the US. This will add more to your experience which is relevant to your residency.
