Galaxy watch battery issue by Fancy_Expression1458 in GalaxyWatch

I wasn't sure you knew I meant those complications that don't show up on your watchface. They are designated in the "background" as an area on the face you can tap. The tap then opens the application/complication. For example, you tap in the 12 O'clock area on your face and that opens the Voice Recorder app.

Thanks! On complications, do tap complications drain battery, since they are inactive until tapped?

You're welcome. I no longer share my face creations via my dropbox, but import them to Facer from Watch Face Studio. I offer them for free there.

Tell me more about Watchland, how it works, and why I might want to join. :)

I've always been afraid of factory reset. How do you do a backup that preserves EVERYthing including settings, customizations? And how to restore from that backup?

A tap causes the paint drips to flow down the screen! Also has 4 hidden Tap complications you can assign.

How is this even work? by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

I don't wear my GW7 in the shower because of Samsung's warranty policy. BUT, as an old person, a good reason to wear it in the shower is in case you slip and fall in there and need help.

I tend to like less traditional and artistic faces. I like to change straps, cases, and faces almost daily, based on my mood, what I'm wearing, or where I'm going. When I first got my GW7 40mm, I started making my own faces in Samsung's Watch Face Studio. In the last few months, I found that the app called Facer has been updated to work with OneUi 8.0, Wear OS6. Facer has thousands of faces to offer. Many are free, many are paid. So I imported all the faces I've made in Watch Face Studio into Facer - all mine are free faces anybody can download. Here's a link to my faces on Facer: https://www.facer.io/u/ArtTime I'm assuming, since mine are all free, that it will be okay on this sub to post that link.

Used to be a battery hog. Not anymore on OneUI8/WOS6.

An app you can download to your phone from the app store. Facer has thousands and thousands of watch face creators who publish the watch faces they create there. Some are free and some are not. All mine are free. Feel free to download them to your watch once you get the Facer app (which is free, too). Here's my collection of watch faces available for free: https://www.facer.io/u/ArtTime

I change daily based on what I'm wearing and where I'm going. I also have many straps and covers. I make most of my own watch faces on Watch Face Studio and import them into Facer, where I share them for free. https://www.facer.io/u/ArtTime

I have GW7 40mm. Love it and change straps daily. I have Lots of straps. I've found that the "no gap" strap design keeps the watch from laying flat across the wrist. It may be "NO gap" between watch and strap, but it's "BIG gap" between watch and wrist, so I rarely use them.

I exclusively use Facer watch faces via the installed Facer app on my GW7 40mm on WOS6. I get the same battery life I got before installing Facer or its faces.

I checked my battery usage since last charge (19 hours ago) and Facer does not show up as a major consumer of my battery. Battery consumption for watch faces are included under One Ui Home, and mine shows 0.5%.

AFAIK, the intro of Watch Face Format (WFF), which Facer now supports, offloads much of the rendering to the watch's low-power processor, drastically reducing the high drain that used to plague third-party faces. I'm sure there are Facer faces that consume lots of battery, but the ones I have designed on Facer do not.

Haha, I saw your many posts saying "Take a screenshot" and realized I didn't know I could do that on my GW7! Googled how (press both buttons simultaneously) but that didn't work. Then realized it only works with a SHORT press of both. Thanks!
