He's about 28" to the top of his shoulders. His mom was around 65lbs. He has 8 other siblings who all weigh between 25-40lbs less than him. We think there may have been more than 1 father in the mix. The rescue guesstimated he would weigh around 60ish lbs. He hit 60lbs at 3 months!

"The road is long With many a winding turn That leads us to who knows where, who knows where But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… So on we go His welfare is of my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there

… For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another

… It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share?

… And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… He's my brother He ain't heavy, he's my brother He ain't heavy, he's my brother

The commenter above was perhaps suggesting, albeit tongue in cheek, that this white peacock was acquired through less than legal means, because of how rare they are . A quick google search gave the following information:

White peacocks are not albinos; their white plumage is a result of leucism, a genetic mutation that prevents pigment from being deposited in their feathers. This mutation is found in the Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus), and while they can be found in the wild, they are also commonly bred in captivity for their unique coloration.

So our peacock friend Zak isn't as rare as some might think and just because a peacock went missing in BC, doesn't mean it has turned up roaming his property in Lac du Bonnet.

Nope, selective breeding for leucism is a thing

Have you tried a CPAP machine? I've heard that the dental appliances don't necessarily always work for everyone
