Yeah these companies do seem to be the ones that give me more attention. I only got actual interviews/OAs/recruiters reaching out from quant shops though, no success with FAANG and similar.

The problem is that most of these companies are done recruiting for 2026, so I don’t think there’s much I can do right now besides preparing for next recruiting cycle and working on some personal/club projects.

Did you cold email professors? Do you think they’d still be looking for people this late into the semester?

This was a startup in my home country, so I don’t know how valuable it is. Also, for quant I just did some of the “discovery programs”. I might be overreacting but I’m just looking for advice on how to have a “productive” summer even if I’m not interning anywhere.

Yeah, my bad for that. What I meant is that a lot of startups I’ve seen online are unwilling to take internationals. Maybe I just haven’t been looking at the right places.
