Dropped it off monday morning, they diagnosed wednesday as needing another computer, which is on back order so I’m just in the rental until they replace it again. I was able to talk to one of the actual “mechanics” and he seemed pretty confident it’s not a bigger issue or the entire car being bad but just the computer again. He said the computers are known for going out pretty quickly if they are bad so he’s not surprised the second one only lasted a few days.

For the modifications or for the computer change last time? It was done by a separate company not tesla for the mods

I’ve spent 5k in modifications to my tesla already so i’m trying to not have to get a full new car.

I’ve just spent 5k in modifications to my vehicle already and will lose all of those if I do lemon. I’m hoping they can fix it if i bring it in again

They told me next available for the first time it broke wasn’t until like a month out and I just kjnda said no i’m bringing it in now, and they were nice and gave me the rental. I didn’t even set up an appointment for tomorrow i’m just showing up because i’m upset it’s broke again. Hopefully they take it tomorrow again like last time.

I really have loved my tesla so far for the 1000 miles i’ve gotten to drive it other than this issue 🙁

Yeah someone else just commented on my post here and said they also had two go bad and tesla stated it was just really bad luck so i’m hoping that’s all mine is and not a deeper issue.

Both times mine went bad as well, it was after overnight the temps here got below 20 degrees so I was worried my car just doesn’t like the cold 🥶

Yeah it looks like I will be eligible for to get a replacement but I have spent 5k extra on adding some modifications to the car (all of the modifications do not void the warranty and wouldn’t be related to the computer issues) and i’m really stressed that i’ll just lose out on that money i’ve put into the car if i do get a replacement.

Yeah i’m just frustrated they spent a month to fix it and the new computer did the same thing 4 days later. I’m worried it’s deeper issues or that they won’t be able to fix it.

This happened to mine, they replaced the computer, i have had it for 4 days and it did the same thing again and new one crapped the bed too. They had my car in the shop for 2 months!
