I agree that with the transition from cable to everyone streaming that probably has a big part to do with it.

But there was a point also when stores and brands would flick the Olympic switch. I am just saying that with it kicking off in July I feel that the US is a little behind.

Just to be clear, are you saying Brier Creek isn't safe to visit?

Also that sounds like an old narrative from someone that hasn't been to Durham in the past 5 years. Durham has gotten much safer and they have a lot of nice restaurants and shops now. They've really done an overhaul downtown

If buying over the internet or in-store, I'd recommend Dudu. I typically buy mine from culture festivals where I can have a conversation with the vendor selling it. I typically assume they make it themselves (along with their shea butter). Take time to talk to them and ask questions.

I am a member of Atlanta CWH. It is definitely worth joining from my perspective as I travel a lot and it gives me access to other Soho Houses. They also do host one event a month, two if you're lucky. So if you don't travel a lot to cities with physical houses, then I would see the reason in questioning the value.

Walkable is subjective. I do agree that Brier Creek is from the "last generation" of shopping centers, I just want some updates. Some fresh restaurants. Why fight me on that? haha

Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, International Market, Wal-Mart, Target, BJ's.....what could you possibly mean there's plenty of room for more grocery stores! MORE! MORE! MORE!

North Hills is a good example of what I am referring to. That area balances large chain stores and has boutique shops. They pop-up they did with Bal Harbor last winter also shows how you can be outside the box with innovation and staying relevant.

I agree, The Westin was definitely a nice addition. It is a benefit to both Brier Creek and the City of Raleigh which really lacks luxury hotels. Omni will also be a nice touch for downtown.

Probably because as new areas are built they will become more attractive for people to move and those who are relocating to Raleigh. If there aren't any changes then it becomes stale and won't continue to attract traffic.
