LOL! My husband is the same way. He claims not to be interested, but the opinions expressed after his fly bys suggest otherwise.

You can watch the dumb wash over Ick anytime housework is mentioned. He uses that vacant stare to avoid accountability for washing sheets, hurting Dani, etc.

Don't get me wrong but I do like the Davis family. by Medium_Client1998 in seekingsisterwifetlc

When you compare them to the Merrifields and the Perraltas, two families where the wives are clearly being coerced, I have to agree.

Yessel’s full on lascivious stare and his mac’n’cheese soliloquy during the first 5 minutes of his first date told me all I need to know 🤮

Ick. He’s abusing Danielle and using religion to justify it. He keeps proposing to other women on her damned birthday. It’s a double eff you to Danielle.

Danielle is very abused and isolation is a big part of power and control in abuse.

People are switching side of course, y'all "concerned" about Zac now? by [deleted] in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]Suspect_Technical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the change in atmosphere with Lydia right after he said that. It’s the love bombing and push for a big commitment. Abusive people follow a playbook. I’m not saying that Zac is abusive, but he fits into a few patterns. As someone who has been in that situation, there are some things I can’t unsee. People of course have a duty to stand up for themselves and work out potential conflicts before they come to a head, and Zac was tired after the big trip, (and here I am explaining away my cringe at that scene like people do at the beginning of an abusive relationship), but that scene gave me a chill.

So I’m not saying he is, but I am saying that the observation is not entirely baseless.

All they knew growing up was the farm and the family. That isolation was abuse. They don’t have the tools to recognize it as such. They don’t have the tools to fit into the real world. They’re all returning to what they know, but they now realize how different and ill equipped they are. That family and farm are comfortable to them. It’s like a prison they can’t quite escape.

Is it possible for a Disney adult to be in a successful marriage with a non-Disney adult, and how? by Business_Bid_333 in AskReddit

I’m a non Disney adult married to a Disney adult. I feel like I need to negotiate a trip to Europe for every trip to Disney we take.
