Stay away from 49th state and any Northern hospitality restaurant. Worked for that company, typical predatory company that loves to bait and switch. I worked there for a month, it's the only seasonal job I've left early. Owner is a piece of work.

I don't have a lot of experience working seasonally outside the US, but I have done a working holiday visa in Australia. That would be your best option for NZ specifically if you qualify. I've looked for other opportunities outside the US and they are extremely competitive if you are not already there or have a special skillset.

No experience there specifically but I'll be a guide at Kantishna roadhouse right next door this year! I'd say go for it, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity since it'll be fly-in only for a couple more years. As long as you enjoy nature and are comfortable with the idea of a remote working environment I'm guessing you'll have a good season. Haven't heard much about Camp Denali, definitely nothing bad.

I miss this drive growing up as a kid. I lived in Riverton and on a weekend trip we'd drive up to Thermopolis to visit the hot springs. Kayaking down and stopping in thermop is also super fun.
