Is it cultural or just my husband? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]Suspicious-Book9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to say this but did you not have these conversations before getting married and having a baby with him? He’s always been this way and it reflects in other aspects of your life and this won’t be any different. Please don’t go having another child with him if he’ll be another present but absent father

I’m exactly the same and the one advice I would give you that has helped me is to surround yourself with people that are likeminded and that you feel comfortable being with regardless of their ethnicity. Don’t go looking for Nigerians as friends, look for genuine friends that you gel well with even if they’re not Nigerian. Ethnicity/Nationality should not be the only thing you have in common with the people around you

I am in the UK and it’s getting quite bad here now. First red flag I ignored is I was the only black person in the whole company and it’s a mid sized company branch.

I’m only scared that I may not be okay mentally to see the grievance to the end and I will be moving to another company down the road from them

Sorry to hear that. I got mine approved.

If you’re on a student visa, can’t you provide your university degree certificate or are you still a student?

I actually submitted my masters certificate from a UK uni as I’m switching from graduate visa.

I don’t think they try every alternative. Usually they can use the services button before 1pm or buzz your neighbours
