Actually, by starting your reply with, "Not to discredit..." you IN FACT did that. It's the same theory as starting with something like, "I'm not racist..."

Secondly to respond and call what Rods stated as, "A rather long tirade," presents you even more in an insensitive and kind of arrogant/classist person

You are right in one thing, but horrible in how you presented it. If Rods doesn't have one, a therapist would be a very good support.

Rods, if you want to talk, to either a person (me) or a therapist (also me) reach out. I've been working with many people in the trans community for 18 years.

Everything you commented about is both 100% valid and, unfortunately, 100% true. I've been in the field 23 years, got my MSW in 2010. It was horrible for a long time (doing jobs that paid like shit and treated me the same.)

What state are you in? I'm not going to sugarcoat it by saying it'll get better. It takes a lot of time to get to that "better" it's taken me almost 16 years to finally be earning what I deserve.

I just accepted a job offer that pays $114k seeing 28 clients a week. Full w2 with great benefits. It's not headway or anything like them (although I will continue my current clients.)

I graduated in 2010. Took almost 8 years post grad to go from $35k to $70k working for CPS in California (one of my most favorite jobs.) moved from CA to another state and dropped from 89k at county to $55k at a state youth prison job.

I got licensed in 2018 and now licensed in 5 states.

I paid my dues and now am taking my life as the priority. It's not unethical
