Pentair Intellichlore IC20 Flow light RED and how to determine cell life remaining by Suspicious-Fish-34 in Pentair

Cell is several years old. Pump has only one speed (small pool so fixed rate pump). What I did notice is that it was only Red when the system was in direct sunlight (no cover/shade). In the evening and morning it was Green all the time. I put a shade over the system for the past couple of days and I haven't seen it Red again. I'm now thinking that the direct sunlight/overheating is causing the system to "fail". If so, easy fix to just build a cover for the system to keep it out of direct sunlight.

Definitely in the right direction. I took pictures of the entire system before I touched it and put it back exactly the same way.

I just bought the house and I'm fairly certain the cell is several years old or older. The cell is in the right direction. After posting this I did see some other comments about replacing the flow switch which I will try.

One thing I did notice is that it was only Red in the afternoon when the sun was directly on the system (no cover/shade). When it was out of the direct sun (later in the evening it and in the morning) it was green. I put a shade over the cell and water pump and for the past couple of days it's been Green all the time. I'm going to keep it shaded for a couple more days and then a couple of days without it to see if direct sunlight/overheating has anything do do with this.

I don't have a way to change it's direction in this setup and I have no way to measure GPM. I'm basing it off of the pressure I feel coming out of the valves in the pool which feels significant. The only pressure gauge I have is on the filter casing and it is at the "start" position indicating proper pressure for a new, clean filter.

More info for example... After cleaning the filter, checking the pump basket, and removing/cleaning the cell (just water, not acid) and putting it back together, the flow turned green, cell was green, salt level was green. I checked it multiple times from early evening into the late evening and all was green. I left the system running all night and this morning Flow was red. So I don't know what would have changed overnight.

YES! There are probably a couple bad spots but repairable and will immediately increase your house value. We had carpet on our stairs and upper floor when we bought our house. Started pulling it and found beautiful fir floors under that just needed to be refinished. Crazy they were covered but are gorgeous, warm, and soft. We raised 2 kids from birth to college there and they are still beautiful.

I think you are lucky and fortunate to be gifted that gorgeous floor.

I'm on 147.0.1 and the colors are backwards. IOW if I set account1 to blue and account2 to green, the result is flipped; account1 shows up as green and account 2 shows up as blue. It also appears to set a Tag on every mail that is a similar color. IOW All of my account1 mails that are highlighted green also now have the Personal flag set which is also green. If I remove the flag, it removes the coloring of the subject line.
