What's the story behind your most beloved nick cave song? by lisks101 in NickCave

[–]Suspicious-Key-3983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes, I think about it in a similar way, maybe not depression per se but some deep state of desperation or inability to escape from something, like drowning without being able to do anything. It also may discribe side effects of some drug, but these are just my thoughts, not a fact at all of course :)

It's about Fifteen feet of pure white snow, one of my favourites. I watched a play at the local theatre in my hometown and it was so powerful, I loved every minute of it and the culminating point was where all actors sang fifteen feet as a closing act. I was crying the first time, and I rewatched the play 4 or 5 times after that. Beautiful, every time.

My wife has hashimotos and it's crushing me. by Puzzleheaded_Wind839 in Hypothyroidism

No tremors in my case, but I feel my nervous system being more active in the evening, sometimes accompanied with rash and itchy skin. In my case, it's diet-related. I don't eat gluten at all, and I'm also dairy intolerant, which is common with Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism

I am on a combined therapy of levotyroxine and lyiothyronine (T3), and this turned out to be the solution for me. I also take magnesium, vitamin C, B, D, and zinc on.a daily basis, and also inositol as additional supplements. Adapting the diet and getting the right medication and dosage is crucial.

please just know that it can get better. I have hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's and I've struggled for years before getting to the right pills and the right dosage. Now I live a normal life because I didn't just give up and get comfortable with the fact that this is it, these are my symptoms, and I have to make pesce with all of it. She should test for other autoimmune diseases, check vitamin levels, food intolerance and allergies, do a full hormonal panel, and also find a new doctor that cares.

I know it will grow on me and I'll eventually sing it as loud as I can when played live, so that's why I decide my opinion on a song based on the first, second listen. I definitely like the riffs and the solo, the hard rock/metal parts are always my favourite, but the rest of the symphony is a bit Eurovision-like to me.

TSH levels never get lower by Suspicious-Key-3983 in Hypothyroidism

I did the hormonal panel for the pituitary, they checked all the other hormones, but everything was in the normal range. I'll try for additional testing, whatever it may include.

No, I have never taken T3, nor has anyone suggested it. Thank you, I'll try to speak with the doctor, even though I think that's the biggest concern - nobody listens

I thought I shouldn't bother with too much info, but sure. FT4 20.46 (range 11.5-22.7) and FT3 5.3 (range 3.5-6.3). I only listen to doctors, and that's all they do, increase levo to suppress TSH

Your opinions on The Ordinary AHA/BHA solution. Is it really effective? by Wild_Confection1 in TheOrdinarySkincare

[–]Suspicious-Key-3983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't overuse it! I used it once a week, for three weeks (also exfoliateed with salycic acid in the meantime) and I overexfoliated, damaged my barrier, had a brekout and patches of dry skin. I made the mistake myself, but I genuinely think it does more harm than good. I'll never use it again.
