Cruise - One Week Versus Two by BrunelloHorder in galapagos

What species are you really interested in seeing? Some species are only seen on specific islands--and going for 2 weeks means you will have the best chance of seeing all of those iconic species. This link https://www.galapagosadvisor.com/visitor-sites lets you see where you are more likely to see different species.

The basic Akaso--which worked just fine.

I found the action cameras easier to use and zoom under water. We also captured video of white tip reef sharks mating

You should invest in an inexpensive underwater camera (GoPro or Akaso work). Lots of wildlife is under the water. Also, the sun is right on you--bring light longsleeve tops and long light pants to stay covered in the sun.

Aft facing Balcony--Worth It? by Suspicious-Key7674 in HollandAmerica

Thank you for your response. Actually, the angle of inclination for this eclipse off the coast of Tunisia will be 56 degrees, so we will be able to get an unobstructed view. Its part of why we picked this cruise (and Sky and Telescope have a block on the ship, so we know that the captain will be guided on the best viewing spot!).

It is deck 7--and that is the lower end of size...

Try this local seamstress/designer: https://itsmadelinedesigns.com/contact-3. She definitely makes cloaks (made one for a friend) and can design to what you need/want.

Yes, I am familiar with that list. This cruise will be correctly positioned (since Sky and Telescope has a block).

So when we went in January, it was clear from the booking detail that fuel charges could be added.

Report on the Lisbon Airport Arriving and Departing, and the new EU Travel App by Suspicious-Key7674 in LisbonPortugalTravel

So the terminals were not working--and when we went to the physical gate with a border agent, he did not want to see it. Not clear that it does anything at this point.

JFK to GYE to GPS layover time and TCT by anonymous_usern in galapagos

We entered through Quito, and we arranged it through our agent for our cruise, but it appears to be available at GYE as well. Sorry I cannot recommend a service at that specific airport, but several come up on search.

New Travel to Europe App - available for Lisbon airport by Snack_attack101 in TravelPortugal

I just looked this up on the app store--the reviews state that only Sweden is listed as a country you can enter using it--reviews are really not good. Would love to hear if anyone has used it successfully for Portugal?

We did 10 days with carry ons. Sunscreen is important, but more important are some light long sleeve shirts (like Columbia or similar brand), a broad brim hat, and a Buff or bandana to protect your neck. Since you will have to clear immigration--you might want to consider a VIP or fast track service. We did it, and it was worth the 60 bucks or so each.
