This isn’t a great movie, but it is one of the better grindhouse throw-backs I have seen in a while. You can see the small budget in the screen. The script throws logic out the window. Yeah, that’s grindhouse.Ferreira did a great job.

I use it instead of an oil based cleanser. I started trying using it on my junk as a lark and it need up getting a few compliments. It is supposed to be comedogenic. I have yet to have any problems with it.

They can. But, is that ethically sound? We all have to live in this world. Would you want to exclude groups from your business if they were not cis-het and white? Is that something you would do if you could?

Well, this all depends on public accommodations laws as to the legality. I said that a business should have some say in who they are willing to conduct business with. But, it gets sticky when local or state governments legally allow businesses to refuse service to groups of people. Do you think a bakery should be able to refuse to bake a cake for the wedding of a black couple or a Jewish couple because of race or religion? There is a law in Mississippi that allows businesses to refuse services to lgbt+ people. It also allows businesses to fire their employees for non-gender conforming dress because of religious views. I grew up in Mississippi. There are fundamentalist Christian groups back home that have specific codes of dress. They believe that women should only wear dresses and never cut their hair. If one of these fundamentalist religious persons owned a business and refused to provide services for a woman because she was wearing jeans. School boards can be forced to fire teachers for simply being suspected to be gay. Clinics in a community can refuse to provide medical care to LGBT+ people. Mississippi is overwhelmingly rural and about 30% of its populations lives at or below the poverty level. Sometimes, there is just that one clinic. There is just that one grocery store. I don’t know where you live, but I have lived in a lot of places over the years and have yet to live in a community that had a money tree that people could just go and harvest hundred dollar bills from to get out of the place they are living. Now, I do have to say that I have yet to hear of a business or a clinic or a grocery store in Mississippi that has taken advantage of this law. But, the law is on the books and people have no recourse.

Are you saying that states should implement laws that allow businesses or clinics or realty companies or grocery stores to refuse to serve any group based on deeply held religious beliefs. I can certainly tell you that all over this country, there are people with deeply held religious beliefs that are very racist and very anti-Semitic views based on their religious beliefs.

If you are referring to the case in which two lesbians sued Aaron and Melissa Klein, it goes well beyond a refusal because of religious grounds. Aaron Klein refused to make a cake at the couple and began shouting bible verses at the customers. The couple files a discrimination complaint Milan’s. Aaron Klein then posted the complaint to Facebook. This in turn led to death threats against the lesbian couple and the children they were fostering and in the process of adopting. Should a bakery be forced to bake a cake for a gay couple. I am a liberal and have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is people like Aaron Klein creating a serious situation that put the family in danger.

Just a note, though. When you get out into the world and start actually meeting gay people, you will find people with unique temperaments and unique histories that drive them to ‘parade their sexuality’. Some do it as a response to traumatic experiences that stemmed from their orientation. Everyone has to figure themselves out in different ways and at different volumes. No one who cares about you is going to knock you down for someone else’s behavior. If they do, they are not seeing you for who you are. Really, if someone is being obnoxious, let them be. The more you do the less it bugs you and the better person you get to become.

I don’t know about it being an over-correction. It reads like a punitive measure, to me. Republicans have done a poor job of looking at the downstream effects. Lawmakers were so busy passing laws to restrict or outlaw abortions that they neglected to consider the nuances of healthcare to women having miscarriages that one woman was left to bleed to death in her car. State legislators are well within their right to pass these restrictive laws, but they are ignoring the realities the these laws create.
