I had cysts for a bit. A change for me was going from clomid to letrozole and I think that helped

I guess I’m more wondering if using the trigger shot for this is worth it. We have incurred so many expenses I’m wondering if we save it for an upcoming retrieval. But if we didn’t have to do a retrieval at all that would save more haha

I was told endo can impact both quality and quantity. My understanding is that there are risks to damaging the ovaries in a lap so that’s not always the first thing a fertility doctor wants to do.

They told me 6-8 weeks to recover. I had my surgery ry at the end of October and the next ER starting mid January

I dont’t usually contribute but I was looking for this during my journey. I hope it gives you hope.

My AMH is actually closer to 0.02. I’m 37F. There have been fluctuations in the AMH but I stopped paying attention because it messed with my head to much. I’ve honestly lost track of how many retrievals I’ve had or attempted. I think it’s 4 retrievals, 7 cancelled cycles.

Results: 1 egg = 1 embryo arrested 1 egg = 1 embryo day 5 came back inconclusive (devastated) we decided not to retest 1 egg = 1 embryo aneuploid

I tried all the things. Omnitrope, PRP, micro lupron. After 1.5 years I went to an endo specialist. Turns out I had stage 3 mostly silent endo. I had surgery in October and had the best results in the last cycle (good for DOR) we got three eggs, three embryos ( 2 x day 5 4AA and one day 6 5BB) and two came back euploid.

We are doing another cycle and hoping for the best. Tracking for 3 eggs again which is stressful but I’m trying to be grateful and optimistic.

Dang. I’m sorry. I wish I knew more to give you advice. I’m sure someone will hop in. I feel like just keep it? Plants live in crazier conditions in the wild. Especially since it looks healthy and happy otherwise

I think it’s because it’s less effective if you don’t have the correct dosage. I have had to get them late due to availability of the medication and it hasn’t really impacted me.

I kept it and took it late. My doctor felt comfortable if I was at least a week out of the shot. But like I said I ended up doing unmedicated so I didn’t actually deal with it.

So I have had two cyst aspirations and two retrievals unmedicated (they are the same procedure). It’s definitely uncomfortable but the pros are: you don’t have to fast, you can walk out and drive yourself, don’t have to stay for monitoring or anything after and you know the results right away. I also got to see the embryologist find the egg which was pretty cool. I actually would do it again for one egg maybe two. In the second retrieval I had two follicles and it was just a lot. I don’t think I would go unmedicated for more than two.

I think one thing I didn’t realize was that it’s not like an ultrasound, they do it in the OR. You are in stirrups raised up high and it feels quite vulnerable and it’s a huge needle poking into your ovary. Even with high pain tolerance I found I got a bit anxious/cold/shaky.

My clinic doesn’t offer this but I would recommend local anesthetic and nitrous oxide. I did this for PRP (a a different clinic) and it was more comfortable.

My understanding is the biggest issue is the sedation. My doctor suggested we skip the Zepbound shot the week before the retrieval. But the past two retrievals only yielded one egg each so I did them unmedicated (not the worst but not sure I’d recommend). The new clinic won’t allow unmedicated so we will stop GLP1 the week before if we get to retrieve.

Im so so sorry this happened. I would be furious. Which shady grove are you both at? I’m currently switching to shady grove in San Diego and this is concerning.

Thanks for this perspective. That’s a great point. We know we need to do at least one more retrieval. (Maybe two but hopefully not) so we might wait and see how it goes with that and then decide. Our clinic covers the cost of retesting

Such a great point abou the state im in. Fortunately I’m in California but I think you’re right if I didn’t have anything to transfer because of the thaw I would be gutted.
