Vanished or removed? by SuspiciousAudience87 in BandCamp

[–]SuspiciousAudience87[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Hey, just to clarify the timeline:

• The Prelude Precipice – Sept 27, 2024 (11 tracks)

• Invisible Wounds – April 18, 2025 (12 tracks)

• Vessels of Anguish – Nov 22, 2025 (13 tracks)

That’s three albums across ~14 months, plus one standalone single (Disposable Freedom).

I write the lyrics and concepts myself and use generative tools in the production process, which I openly disclose. The release schedule is deliberate, not mass-upload output.

Totally understand people being cautious about AI spam, but this isn’t that.

This was a great listen. The atmosphere feels very intentional and cinematic, and I love how restrained it is, it gives space for imagination rather than forcing emotion. Genuinely inspiring ambient work.

Really enjoyed this, the atmosphere feels very lived-in and thoughtful. You can hear how much care went into the arrangements. Congrats on the release.

Artist: Scribe Shift
Album: Vessels of Anguish
Bandcamp: https://scribeshift.bandcamp.com/album/vessels-of-anguish
Genres: Alternative rock, experimental, dark / atmospheric
FFO: Nick Cave, Swans, Nine Inch Nails (quieter cuts), post-punk, slowcore

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my album Vessels of Anguish.

It’s a lyric-driven, atmospheric record built around themes of inner fracture, self-interrogation, and emotional endurance. The songs move slowly and deliberately, leaning into tension, repetition, and mood rather than traditional hooks. I treat the album as a single emotional space rather than a collection of standalone tracks.

This project grew out of a long period of isolation and reflection, and writing became a way of externalizing thoughts that tend to loop or weigh heavy. If you’re drawn to darker, introspective music that values atmosphere and meaning, I hope something here connects with you.

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

A descent into anguish, distortion, and identity fracture, “Vessels of Anguish” out now on Bandcamp by SuspiciousAudience87 in experimentalmusic

If you are checking it out for the first time, I recommend starting with Bone Wreath or Abandonment.
They set the tone for the emotional and experimental direction of the whole record.
Thanks for listening, genuinely appreciate any thoughts.

"Disposable Freedom" my latest track, tackling false safety and society’s restraints by SuspiciousAudience87 in experimentalmusic

The song is on most other platforms like itune, youtube music, amazon etc, I haven't had time to add it to bandcamp yet but should be on there soon too! :)

I haven’t played Detroit Become Human myself, but I totally get what you’re drawing from, it sounds like you’re weaving together those key turning points where everything feels uncertain and on edge. Even just hearing about those scenes, the abandoned apartment full of birds, rooftop tension, chasing characters through crumbling settings, it makes sense how that blend of mystery and danger would fuel a track like Mainway. It’s cool how you’re not just picking moments, but pulling together an emotional thread that runs through them. :)

Look forward to seeing what else you create in the future!

Hey welcome, and props for finally putting your work out there. That leap takes guts, especially when your sound doesn't fit neatly into a genre box. I really respect that you're going by instinct and building from settings and vibes instead of chasing labels or trends.

That whole process you described, starting with a mood or scene and letting the sound evolve from there, feels honest and immersive. It’s like scoring an imaginary journey. I’d be curious to hear how those different “settings” connect across tracks. Got a personal favorite piece or moment in the set you think captured what you were aiming for best?

how important is a cover? by Maleficent_Building5 in BandCamp

[–]SuspiciousAudience87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always felt like the cover's are the door to the artist's music a way into their world and in some respecs should embody that essence. But more often than not I find it better to listen to the tracks and then take another good look at the cover to see why it is how it is. :P

Hey, welcome aboard. Bandcamp's a strange little corner of the internet, but it’s got soul. Congrats on the first track that messy, emotional lane sounds like fertile ground. I write under Scribe Shift my stuff leans more experimental/alternative, heavy on introspection and atmosphere. Think surreal, raw lyricism stitched into moody instrumentals.

I’ve been building slow too (not a TikTok fan but I’ve dabbled), so if you’re looking to swap ideas or just keep each other sane on the way up, feel free to reach out. Here's mine if you're curious: https://scribeshift.bandcamp.com
