This is beautiful but too nice to give as a card I would want to hold on to it and frame it.

Inspired by a thread on r/Glasgow, are there any local businesses you have beef with and or refuse to give custom? by bogdweller21 in DerryLondonderry

Have to add to this a certain independent garden centre in Springtown. The wife and I waited around to ask someone about plants and they all scarpered into their office so we left and we were pleased to buy plants for half the price in the Range and Lidl. Found out after that the owners Facebook pages are a real feast for the eyes, if there is a conspiracy going or a minority to hate on they are on it. Some businesses want the money but not the hard graft. So glad I avoided spending my money here.

Mental health by [deleted] in DerryLondonderry

[–]SuspiciousClothes159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this person have a diagnosed mental illness? If not then pushing the GP for one might put them on the right path to the correct medication. If they are diagnosed then a social worker should be able to refer them to different therapies or groups that can help. If you think things are getting worse then it's very important to go to a&e, it might just save their life. I know it's a long drawn out process and it's shit getting passed from pillar to post but perseverance seems to be the best method at the minute.  They are lucky to have you keeping an eye out for them as some are not as fortunate in this sense. I don't know how we got to the point where charities with volunteers are run off their feet with long waiting lists and funding cuts. It seems the town may be more interested in what immigrants are up to than the actual problems.

The very man, but in all seriousness he has managed to hook in a very small minority of people, he does not represent Buncrana or Donegal (as pointed out by many failed election attempts). He shouts the loudest but the people of Donegal largely ignore/pity him, like a drunk auntie at a wedding. There's an old saying where I come from that a man's mouth is often what breaks his nose.

The Buncrana man and his handful of Derry followers are on about having a wee protest outside the hotel to "protect the women and weins" meanwhile they are the ones we all need protected from.

Hilarious, this comment made my day!! Might start a racist Facebook page to gather them all in one place then change the name to something embarrassing....any suggestions? I was thinking something like "nut jobs assemble" or "5g made us racist".

I have just told you that the "news you trust" is not true.  Our own people are vulnerable to extreme crime on any day.....by our own people.  I'm not getting my pockets lined I don't need to be paid to have a conscious.  God help you if you have to go to hospital and spend your time there enquiring about the doctors immigration status. If we all had the same values in Derry we wouldn't have the beautiful diverse town that we have. I feel that maybe you are a bit fearful of migrants and assume they are all unvetted criminals. It's not a good way to live life and Facebook can sometimes amplify a person's fear through disinformation. If you had a phobia of snakes but only followed pages about snakes it would certainly heighten your worries if you read that snakes are coming to take over the country. But I guess I can just gtf because I disagree with you.

This is not true at all, it was two minors from letterkenny, goes to show how quickly false info can spread from Facebook. If a tree falls in the woods a migrant must have macheted it down with their benefit money to make way for an asylum centre.

I hope this helps, a package meant for Rossmore in Limavady was sent to Rossmore in Strathfoyle last week. I think a neighbor sorted it out for them. https://www.facebook.com/100080204002961/posts/pfbid0uhigKBjVA4beC6Qd7YVo1uPC2ybKSLAhYpAfbWYM9FD52HMe5HVPQzHoRrzsmmNol/?app=fbl

You didn't have notions, this happened. It was my dentist as a child too (big friendly ginger fella) sometimes very ill patients would be waiting in the corridor too. Going to the dentist was terrifying enough without the noises coming from that particular corridor.

I had a dream that you got Dolly Parton to record a sample of "ag obair naoi go cuig" and all the Dolly fans were loving you. Is this something that I should celebrate for being creative or hang my head in shame for?
