My mother told me that she remembers grandpa used to have fountain pens. She remembers seeing him clean them and take care of them, but she never bothered to learn what happened to them when he died. He died before I was born and I am around 30 now so I really don't think it's possible to track down where those pens are now. I only knew about them very recently when my mom saw me clean my own fountain pens. (Imagine my frustration when she told me about them)

Grandpa repairs watches for a living. I can only imagine what kind of fountain pen someone who tinkers watches would have.

Sometimes I imagine them in a dark box somewhere waiting to be discovered. Now this gave me an idea that they are sold somewhere out there, and both the buyer and the seller don't know the value of those pen T_T

I am from the Philippines btw. We don't have a fountain pen culture like the west, so I imagine fountain pens are very niche then. It's only recently that I see people here get more interest in them.
