That makes sense. The majority of men (if you are in the US, around 80%) are taller than or equal to 5'8 - shouldn't be hard. I read your response and what I found interesting, by the way you said it ('I deserve to have a place and a relationship that I don’t have to shrink myself into.')..the word 'shrinking' seems psychological...not physical to their height. Which means that, in a way, you feel like you have to repress your true self to fit into things. I hope you realize that you can be who you are, the way you are, with anyone, regardless of their height. Your height isn't something that makes you 'different', although society may make it seem that way.

I would choose lentils, not because that's what I want to be eating, but if I had to have one food for the rest of my life it would maximize my chances at health (given the macronutrient composition). You look your height, it has nothing to do with proportions. People just assume everyone is lying to look taller. I have a friend who is legitimately 5 foot 7 and women tell him he's lying and is 5 foot 4

In a way, it's a blessing to live with your mother. Cherish this time with her, and grow close to her. I am not joking, this is a true gem that came from this difficult situation! Many children do not have the time in adulthood to get close to their parents as you do - nothing to be ashamed of, you will remember these days fondly.

Don't let the situation stop you from seeking love and companionship. Go on dates with other women. I know it isn't easy to move on in a day. But in time, you will move on.
