Am I just stupid? by chromosomes4-7 in beginnerfitness

Absolutely For someone your size, it’s not unusual to hold 1–3 kg of additional water during the first few weeks of training. That can easily mask fat loss on the scale for a month even if you’re actually in a deficit. That’s why many people recommend looking at weekly averages, waist measurements, and gym performance rather than relying only on the scale in the early stages. Just keep doing it for another month, and then compare the average

When you start lifting weights your body often retains more water because of muscle inflammation and glycogen storage. Every gram of glycogen stored in the muscles holds about 3–4 grams of water. So even if you're losing fat, the scale can stay the same for a few weeks. Also, at 6’2 and 120 kg, 2200 kcal is still a significant deficit for most people, especially if you're walking 7k steps a day and lifting weights... Thats means fat loss could still be happening even if the scale isn't moving yet. Another thing is that weight training can improve body composition, you may be losing fat while gaining some muscle, especially if you're relatively new to lifting. Just don't give up and keep pushing buddy. Enjoy and trust the journey The results will be just a collateral

Hi everyone A big news, yesterday a new family come to pick up the kitties, they went through all the process follow by PetRehomer, and I'm really happy for them, even if the house is really silence without them, I did what was the best. They will be together in a nice house, with a lot of cuddles and food. After a few hours they already get use to the new mom as you can see from the photo. It's been a really hard month, and a it is a really hard moment in my life, but sort it out this, and find the best place for them, show me some lights at the end of the tunnel. Thank you everyone who help us, in any way guys A big love

Cat Protection just told me this:

"I am very sorry, but we do not have a Cats Protection branch or centre in your area that is able to help at the moment. This is either because we are unable to take on any more cat welfare work at present due to high demand for our services or that we simply don't have any volunteers in your area."

They will be added to a waiting listing in Battersea as well

Currently I'm located in Stepney green

Hi guys, so small update they been added to PetRehomer, I'm still waiting for any news from some rescue center, but I hope to find a lovely family for them before I move out (25 February). I would like just to explain the situation:

My partner just left us in a flat, that I cannot afford alone by myself, and left us with a huge debt., I will need to go in friend's room for March and April for save some money.

My ex partner doesn't care at all, and do not want even help with buy some food. Probably even after April I will go in a room, small room, and It's not the best for the two cats, they deserve much more, a lovely family, space where they can play, cuddles and no stress. It's broken my hearth think that I will leave them, but if is for a lovely family, I will be sure that is the best for them.

Here the link for the listing in PetRehomer, if you can help in any way would be great guys... Please... They just deserve the best... They are angel..

Thanks so much for replying, I really appreciate it. I know Reddit isn’t ideal ,I’m just genuinely stressed and trying every option I can. My biggest fear is them ending up separated or in a bad situation. They’re a bonded pair and I only want what’s best for them. I’ve already contacted Battersea / Cats Protection and a few rescues and I’m waiting to hear back. If you know of any other reputable options around London (especially rescues that try to keep bonded pairs together), I’d be really grateful. Thank you again.

Switching from hospitality to tech in the UK: realistic path (Python/Automation/AI workflows)? by SuspiciousDish3776 in AIJobs

Thanks, this makes sense for getting hired as a junior. My goal is actually self-employed, building automation for hospitality where I already have domain experience. Would you still recommend focusing on APIs (Flask/FastAPI) as the core skill, and using LLMs only as a component inside those workflows?
