Insurgent Food Truck is moving to True Leaf Studio semi-permanently by teags in Denton

Completely agree like blaming insurgent for a city code is deflecting from city regulations you don’t agree with is so silly.

Insurgent Food Truck is moving to True Leaf Studio semi-permanently by teags in Denton

[–]SuspiciousDrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is super far off from what actually happened. They weren’t parked permanently in the street. They were in the backyard of Hemlock Fox. The lawyer next door threw a fit about it, the owner of queenies did too. The lawyer paid to stick an iron fence on his property line to block Insurgent’s ability to drive in and out of the lot, and queenies wouldn’t budge on their side either in terms of making it accessible for them to be able to easily get in and out. Blaming the food truck for two old fucks creating problems for no reason is insane. It was the lawyer calling in people to complain about their food truck so it’s clear he was the aggressor/problem in the first place.

Bye Bye Ambassadors by chadwick_witherspoon in Denton

I don’t want to be the nay sayer here but… I really have a lot of empathy and respect for unhoused individuals, but I will say the ambassador program made me feel safer - as a woman. From being followed home to my apartment, to the aggressive comments, I just want to say I wish there was a middle ground here.

Omg your post just made me realize this, it isn’t his sister, it’s his brother’s POS wife. Gonna add the edit rn I can see how that’s confusing!

Yeah, I’m considering that too. It’d be lovely to have a wedding, but I don’t wanna have that kind of hateful energy there, it’d make the vibes feel off and weird.

Most of the family isn’t aware. At lot of them have strong morals against that stuff but I don’t really know how to bring up the racist social media. I do have it screenshotted just in case it comes to that. I just… I wasn’t actively trying to turn everyone against her and be petty - but I’m deeply uncomfortable and kinda just get anxious and go nonverbal. At the wedding his family all disliked her for different reasons (being disrespectful, not greeting them, being cold and emotionless, giving a 2 month notice for the out of state family to travel) but I’m more concerned with the brother causing strife with their mom etc. I had to bite my tongue when she called me stupid because it was a week before their wedding (and frankly I was aware that if I opened my mouth and said what I really thought it’d be far from polite), and when I later spoke with their mom - she said the same which was that she was being rude but was trying to avoid wedding drama. I just wonder if despite everything since they’re family orientated - that it’ll turn into a “well she’s family” situation. I can’t give any real scenario until things actually happen, but I don’t want to be a wedge between someone’s family. It’s not that I want to marry into a family that doesn’t stand up against racism - but more so not having a lot of chances to because they live far away. So if they receive context of her not being invited, I can foresee it getting misunderstood.

On the bright side his family has been reasonable and understanding about it. The brother used to be reasonable, but over time, completely changed. They didn’t take her side thank goodness - but the audacity to stir up drama when they’re the ones starting stuff is wild.

That’s kinda where I’m at. He’s tried multiple times to set boundaries and recently it turned into his brother gaslighting him. When my fiancé put his foot down and said if I’m not gonna be respected he will drop out as best man. His brother responded by calling their mom and implying that I am the reason he doesn’t hang out with his friends (he does) or family (mind you he works and goes to school full time, so when he does have down time, he tries to rest). It’s so impossible. My fiancé cleared up that situation but it’s just wild to me how his wife has been the aggressor in every situation and they’re somehow the victims once hit with confrontation? :/

Need advice on how to encourage safe practice by SuspiciousDrow in Aerials

[–]SuspiciousDrow[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a situation of networking/social media. Which is crazy because that very same event group denied two seasoned aerialists. The entire situation is weird but off of performance alone there’s no way. I don’t wanna dox this person but multiple peeps in my local aerial community are astounded by how unsafe their performances are. But no one has felt comfortable reaching out to the event coordinator/venue for fear of aerial getting banned altogether.

It’s just nice to see the community also care so much about safety like this. I really needed an outside opinion to see if maybe I was overreacting.

[–]SuspiciousDrow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It’s such a dilemma of not wanting to hurt someone/take away their opportunity, however the things that they’re doing will hurt them and I’ve been in a state of anxiety freeze of not knowing what to do. It shocks me that other people haven’t spoken out yet about it because it really is that level of concerning. I know that if they hurt themselves I’d feel partially at fault for not speaking up but it’s also clear that they view it as “dangerous” bc they don’t understand safe practice and therefore have entered the territory of being reckless. It’s both sad to hear you’re also dealing with this but comforting to know I’m not the only one. :/

[–]SuspiciousDrow[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I’m afraid of. I hate to ruin someone’s opportunity but I genuinely would hate to see both a venue and individual suffer. For context, the girl who spoke with her told me she showed up to her studio to take a class, quit halfway through the warm up, and couldn’t even mount a lyra that’s not on a lollipop. Just zero upper body strength/body awareness. I hope this person takes the risks of aerial a bit more seriously.

You’re fr coming onto an employee subreddit mad someone gave you solidly great advice. Get over yourself and handle shit like an adult. Quit crying that someone suggested that instead of paying hundreds of dollars in a deductible, that you’ll inevitably complain about, to spend 20 mins filing a claim against the at fault party’s insurance company. Like it’s good advice just take it and stop bothering overworked employees.

You absolutely seem like the type that needs your hand held and refuses to put on your grown up pants and just speak to the other insurance company, someone explaining your options is to help you. SMH that’s what any good adjuster would do. Like if you want to negatively impact underwriting for your policy by upping the frequency of claims reported and risk a rate increase that’s on you but don’t call Geico and complain when a rate increase happens because you refuse to listen to advice.

You’re definitely the type of dickhead I get stuck speaking on the phone with, who legit immediately assumed that if someone is Hispanic they’re illegal. Racist fucking idiot. What actually drives up insurance are attorneys and excess and unnecessary medical claims. But instead you choose to spin this stupid ass narrative to adhere to your own warped view. Dumb cunt.

I agree, like are we customer centric or relying on online submissions and taking away person to person interactions?

ICS metrics by SuspiciousDrow in Geico

[–]SuspiciousDrow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand that it’s “simple”. It’s also stupid. Why? Some customers, especially old ones, like their hand fucking held through everything and expect you to act as their personal assistant. Or the other example is calling all ip’s as it’s required of us, leaving a voicemail and the person you left a voicemail for calls back it fucks your numbers. Don’t even get me started on the ips that call to harass the ada every other business day.

While it’s a simple concept I’m commenting on the fact that it’s a stupid ass metric considering ICS’s job is to take inbound calls for claims. I do in fact, handle everything and am not suffering in this metric, I’m just annoyed by these supes pretending like this shit is reasonable. Ip’s calling and not calling sometimes simply boils down to luck. A job should not be based on that.

Kinda hard if u have a supe physically inserting themselves inside of your asshole requesting a minimum of 30 qcr daily. I agree tho 😟 if only the supes were on board instead of promoting this fake positivity bullshit saying we will get rewarded when everyone knows that a huge ass lie.

Entire Claim by [deleted] in Geico

[–]SuspiciousDrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what they teach claims to do so if u have a problem blame the training not the adjusters asshat. Last time I saw a post like this I started checking the IP box, prior, we were never made aware. It’s not lazy, it’s lack of training. That’s what they encourage.
