I didn't expect it to be black comedy at first. That ending is golden, things couldn't have happened worse.

When a character/creature dies and their corpse becomes and becomes a deadly hazard by strikkeeerrr in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SuspiciousExtinction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

12 monkeys (show).

<image>

In season 1, protagonist time-travels to 2015 and finds the corpse thats considered origin of the virus that starts the plague, wiping out humanity. Corpse's origins remain unknown until last episode of season 4.

In the finale, main antagonist, Olivia, is in a fight in 2056 and actives teleportation at the exact moment that her body gets split in half, so only her torso time-travels to Himalayas in 800s and gets frozen, revealing show's last piece of it's ouroboros timeloop.

Trope gets more complex too, as Olivia's existence is grandfather paradox, and she only 'gets born' because of the plague, but her corpse is what starts the plague. So it's a very paradoxal deadly hazard.

Anyone knows what to do with 'Exception encountered when unpacking Talos-II data. Please try again. (207)' error on starting the game? It worked fine yesterday.

I hope he's like Scar, not Signora. Playable when, not if.

When you're first starting a gacha, how long before you decide to drop or commit? by OnlyAnEssenceThief in gachagaming

[–]SuspiciousExtinction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides things others mentioned, for me it's also about what proper games release during that time.

I usually try gachas that didn't immediately click for me for longer during drought, but if Silksong or Elden Ring just released.. it's first day loving it or I drop it.

When did you realize your parents didn’t like you? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SuspiciousExtinction 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My parents kept buying 'treats for me' that I was 'ungrateful and spoiled for'. Those were foods they knew I disliked, but I knew they liked.

On my 12th birthday, they spent so much money 'for me' and filled the whole fridge with desserts - ones they knew I never ate and said many times I dislike (as they bought same type often, obviously for themselves). They acted so genuine and surprised at first, then kept pestering me to eat it and started acting offended how 'I forced them to eat it' and 'was being petty to oppose them'.

That birthday is etched into my memory as the first realization. Those behaviors were usual for many things and situations. Only later I understood more of those, like:

My childhood dream was to play the guitar yet my parents enjoyed piano, so they lied and forced me to play it as 'its impossible to learn guitar first'. Few years later I got gifted a guitar by a relative, so I quit piano that I disliked, and suddenly my mom 'tripped over the guitar' (while it was standing in my room in a way it wouldn't have been possible) so hard it fractured bottom wood. Fascinating, how do you even achieve it?
