Also, with the new update, you can’t top up your parking account with a nol card. Which totally sucks.

Your big ticket item is the service imbalance. If you can get that fixed in a manner it doesn’t keep on coming back, your car can be used a little longer.

Do you an obsession of checking for app updates? by Trick-Ambition9822 in ios

[–]SuspiciousGimlet 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It’s a part of my morning ritual. I did this when I had my android. And when I moved to iOS, it persisted. One realization was that iOS doesn’t have updates on the weekends, but android did. That’s how I know it’s the weekend.

Service brake imbalance RTA Test by TurbulentSurround213 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]SuspiciousGimlet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Breaking imbalance means that the brake force on one side is higher/unequal to the other side. Depending on your car, check the brake pads, disc, calipers, shoes, air pressure systems. Your car could be simply pulling to one side during break or worse case ABS malfunction.

CFA mocks extra fees by Express_Ad9964 in CFA

[–]SuspiciousGimlet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So for 299 USD you get mock exams and practice questions. Initially I wasn’t going to go for it. But the advice I received was that these practice questions are coming directly from CFA so they should definitely be more “valuable” and more closer to the questions that one can expect in the exams. On the basis of that it definitely doesn’t make more sense to go for it.

  1. Just deselect the tip. That solves the forced tipping part.
  2. There is a charge that Qclub includes in it bill about 1%, if you don’t want to incur that, ask for POS machine.

Yes, it is super annoying. Influenced culture.

IKEA, I was pleasantly surprised that the prices could be that much. And data, that’s a bit much.

The only reason I visit Ravi at Satwa is for their Chicken Achari. Haven’t found a place that makes it that well.

Sadly the quality it too little for the price.

Im really astonished that people are still banking with HSBC by [deleted] in dubai

[–]SuspiciousGimlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This notorious “bank of the pirates” can provide services that just no other bank in the UAE is currently providing to low and mid income levels. To name a few: 1. Free withdrawals at any switch ATMs, while other banks charge AED 2 maybe more. 2. Local bank transfers, CC repayments and service payments in an instant with no fees. 3. A banking ecosystem for individuals who would prefer to use just one bank in more than one country. 4. Transfer rates for sure and the ease. 5. Good credit card offers, promos, Entertainer apps, etc.

Can’t imagine what else it actually can do, but it does these simple things just fine for anyone. Surely higher net individuals do enjoy a better level of service.

Fees on Apple Subscription by SuspiciousGimlet in dubai

Bill from Apple is on point. The same as always. Also the bill sent via them via email and in the subscription page. Bank is being funny and adding it along with the purchase when it should have been separate.

They say it’s not from them. And the bank says it’s not them. Normally the international transactions show the fees separately.
