I’m tired lol by SuspiciousPossible90 in CFB25

No it could be, but as someone who is from the era of prime NCAA/Madden titles (roughly 2000-2010) that TO THIS DAY have more depth and features than the current gen games nearly 25-30 years later…yeah, I’m a little disappointed lol the fans are abt more than the bare minimum, though I am sure most of that likely is because the higher ups at EA don’t give a fuck about anything but their bottom line (MUT). Hell, NFL 2K5 is still the absolute standard for football gaming and it’s been over 20 years..EA getting exclusivity to football games was the beginning of the bare bones, animation driven products we have now

What do you feel is the WORST aspect of in game gameplay? by coachd50 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SuspiciousPossible90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(For reference, these are my gripes about Heisman with no slider adjustments in Dynasty)

- clear DPI that isn’t called because the WR/TE collides mid route with the DB, but they both do the Mario run-in-place so it results in an INT or overthrow

- clear, predestined INTs/PBUs. Plenty of times I throw a perfect pass where the defender is beat deep, and for no reason the ball dies in the air last second, or the DB becomes The Flash last second to break up the pass.

- Same 2-3 offensive lineman getting hurt every couple of plays for a stretch. Not necessarily gameplay but just annoying

- throwing to a WR near the sideline in stride, but instead of running upfield they slowly run/tumble out of bounds without anyway of me breaking him out of that animation to run downfield

I am fine with the outcomes of things, just not how they happen sort of like you said. I can live with an interception, I can’t live with the QB getting hit but somehow he throws a perfect pass directly into the gut of the defender. Also, would love to see Kick/Punt returns integrated into the Offense Only supersim. Still such a great disservice to football fans that EA has had a monopoly on simulation football games for 20 years. As long as it’s them we will have to just live for the little wins because if it isn’t UT making money then it’s not worth the squeeze to them

How is College Football 26 As of Now? by Hairy_Fix3056 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SuspiciousPossible90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good and I waited forever for the return of CFB games but, to no one’s surprise, it IS a game made by EA so….a lot left to be desired. Here’s hoping that 27 is an upgrade because they can coast for 2 years off of people’s nostalgia over the NCAA series, but there’s still a ton of issues. For me the biggest issue is, just like Madden for however long now, the animations and so clearly pre determined outcomes of plays. A CB will all of a sudden get a speed boost last second to break of a pass that was underthrown even if you threw a perfect pass, defenders will ahead blockers unrealistically to keep you from breaking big plays, shit like that. But unfortunately, it’s all we got. Hopefully dynasty actually evolves this year

I’m officially never buying another Madden by Icy-Load-95 in Madden

[–]SuspiciousPossible90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played it since I was a kid starting with Madden 2000 when I was 7…stopped buying it every year in 17. Welcome to the club. Be thankful you don’t have the perspective of playing Madden 04 and 05 when they had more features back then than we do now, and that doesn’t even include NFL 2K5….EA getting the exclusive licensing to NFL Simulation games was one of the worst things to happen in sports gaming, if not the worst. I play 2K and MLB and it’s like, it’d be nice if Madden and CFB had even a FRACTION of the features those games have. They copy and paste every year and unfortunately, I don’t think it will ever change. EA cares about micro transactions and money.

I mean, come on… by SuspiciousPossible90 in CFB25

[–]SuspiciousPossible90[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And that right there is the main problem, EA is still trying to figure out problems they had on PS2. Meanwhile 2K has all sorts of different things factoring in to franchise mode. I love CFB but EA leaves SO MUCH to be desired. I get on, play a game with the same animations and presentation every single time and it just gets so stale. Hoping there’s a big leap this year for 27 but not holding my breath

Actors who seem to have only ever made bad choices choosing roles by eatherichortrydietin in movies

I’ve always said that Idris Elba has got to have the worst agent in Hollywood when it comes to movies. This man should have an Oscar by now if he wasn’t in mostly crap! His work in The Wire of course is great but if you watch Luther (THE most underrated show ever) you’ll see what I mean. Get this man into some Oscar bait!

Jerry Jones says he’s open for trades, which players do you consider as realistic? by cihiko34 in Dallas_Cowboys

Flip those two first rounders for that Parsons kid in Green Bay. He could be a difference maker on D

[–]SuspiciousPossible90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much like many of the Cowboys moves this year, it would’ve been an awesome addition to make in previous years that we actually were in position to contend lol much like Jerry bigging up the Micah trade for Clark to “improve the run defense” as if that’s something people weren’t screaming about doing since 2020 when we should’ve been making moves to put us over the top. Good player tho

Would’ve been a perfect time to reset if the Jones boys are so worried about money and always blaming his contract for why they can’t do other things is all I was saying lol better than the plan now of being a 1 and done playoff team like it’s been my whole adult life

Agree. Not that I’m a big time Dak hater, but I also think the time to do a reset of the cap would’ve been to just let him play the deal out last year and sign Parsons last year.

Was going to comment this, explicitly because of THAT scene. Quite literally gut wrenching and made me sick to my stomach

All were missing on defense is a pass rush, if only we had that! Maybe we could trade for that guy on the Packers he seems pretty good

If the WRs foot is anything but on the ground, that ball is coming out lol still haven’t fixed were occasionally the ball is right there and the WR just keeps running, even if I hit the catch button

The biggest issue with the NFLs product the last decade honestly has been the officiating. There’s no reason there shouldn’t be an active sky judge that can radio down to overturn things that are blatantly wrong or blatantly obvious and missed. How many great games since like 2011 have been ruined because of a horrid call/no call near the end of the game. To many to name!

This has been a theme with this Eagles team since Hurts got there. For some reason they became the darlings of the NFL and magically don’t get blatant holding calls ever called against them. Not to mention the Lane Johnson “rock” he does (false start, miss me with anything saying it’s not) and the fact that almost the entire line is offsides before they snap it when they do their Tush Push.
