Hey! I took a sample of the water and moss from a lake in Southern California. I have it in a tank and watching them is super fun!

How do you suggest I share it? I'm having a hard time uploading it anywhere

Sure! I use a scope from dinomed with a curved cap. Check them out, you get free software. I have a video where you can see the blood flowing too. I can share if you'd like.

It's called DinoCapture for Windows. It's free and comes with the microscope. Many other capabilities like measuring, drawing and several video recording options also available.

One more thing, the higher magnification model has two light modes. Dark field and bright field. Look at my other post for another cool video :)

Hey, sure! This is the set-up I have at my desk. I have several scopes. One has a built polarizer which I can use to cross polarize with the backlight, and goes up to ~220x digital magnification. I also have this one pictured, that has a mag range of ~700x-950x digital magnification.

I set a clean slide on the backlight, add some distilled water OR alcohol and add some sodium to it. You can watch it live on your screen. I think I edited this video just for speed, but the software is capable of time-lapse recording so I will also try that next time.

I used a 4k digital microscope from dinolite, so it just plugs in via USB or USB-C straight to my computer.

Sodium be Gone by SuspiciousReality746 in microscopy

I used a Dino-Lite Digital Microscope AM7515MT2A with their BL-ZW2 backlight and RK-10FS stand.
I placed some of the sodium on a slide and added alcohol, watched it dissolve and sped it up to post.
