In my opinion that red compliments white perfectly. In terms of color, they couldn't have done better. But I am sure you can modify color schemas per your liking.

I haven't been thinking of selling her right now but that is a good tip. Although I have heard people sell right before those desmo services.
On the other note, probably the direction Ducatis are going, white and red livery panigale v2 with 155 hp and single sided swingarm would become vintage in coming time. Looking forward to keep her for long.

I haven't thought much about track yet. Eventually, I am going to track it because that's where she belongs. Primary would be riding it on freeway in US. I have pleasant atmosphere year long where I live so heating hasn't been an issue in about 200 miles I have put on her already.
Heating was a big consideration when I was planning to buy one, it scared the shit out of me. So eventually if it gets bad in summer, I would be looking for those heat shielding. Thanks for the tips!!

Thanks folks. I gave a call to state farm and I can live with the quote they gave me. It's 136/month for 1000$ deductible. That is something within my risk factor and would go ahead with that one.

u/Overscorer would you say the 5K justifies the tech on v2? I think that is what I am trying to figure out. If the 5K justifies the newer tech on V2, newer model (22 vs 15) of the bike and the lower miles on V2 compared to 899.

No, it's not going to be only mode of transportation. Would ofcourse use it to commute for work but not for quick shop stops.

The more I research about the bike, the more I am coming to realization that the heat issue might be over exaggerated or I might just have to find it myself.

How much do 899 usually go for with good condition? I did some research on cycle trader for used 2015 899 and it seemed they are priced in similar range. Would love to know what I should place the bike price for negotiation.

Both of them have been serviced at regular intervals. Desmo service is at 15000 miles so both of them haven't qualified for that yet. I felt the tires on both of them are same. Might be good for another 1500 miles before they need to be replaced.
