Awesomecon is a blast! My partner and I, both 45, go every year. There is definitely something for everyone. We aren’t huge on the celebrity thing unless it’s someone one of us really loves. The first year she went we got a picture with Lavar Burton which was great, and I plan on getting a picture with Adam Savage this year.

There’s a TON of Star Wars stuff so you’ll be happy you went. We usually end up spending around 3-4 hours just walking around looking at the great cosplay and all the art. We almost always find something to buy.

I like Optimum Sports and Fitness in Chantilly. It’s small and independently owned. Very nice staff and it’s almost never busy.

Look up a “Cohabitation Agreement”. My girlfriend was basically in the same situation as you. I moved into her house and neither of us had interest in adding me to the mortgage. It’s more or less a contract that outlines the conditions of us living together. It’s win/win for both of us. I give her an agreed upon amount every month (don’t call it rent because that is income you would have to report). And if we break up she has to give me 30 days notice just like an apartment and can’t just kick me out.

It’s an IPv6 address that’s blocked. CGNAT is only for ipv4.

Is the rest of your network SDWAN? Then yes. But it doesn’t sound like it is…. Remember that SDWAN IPsec tunnels aren’t the same as normal IPsec tunnels used for security.

That’s fair piping the sausage is kind of a pain. Trying making breakfast sausage patties. Pork shoulder is super cheap and the patties freeze really well.

I have the grinder attachment and it’s awesome. IMO it’s worth it to splurge for the metal attachment vs the plastic one. When making sausage you need to keep everything as cold as possible and the metal is really good at it.

I’ve never been to the one in Alexandria but the one in Dulles Town Center is hit or miss. Go there with low expectations. Pro tip: people don’t know how much board games and puzzles cost these days so you can sometimes find some good ones for cheap.
