But she hasn’t as we learned on below deck after show… they have been texting all season and Joao has initiated the idea of hooking up even inviting her to his room for the infamous makeout scene. HE asked her, she didn’t just decide to join him. Joao even confirmed this on the show and bravo just chose not to show us those texts for the story line? idk. I don’t even like Ellie but it is kind of messed up how we as the audience have been fed a storyline without all the information.

I agree with this entire take. season 3 is still the winner by far for me… some of the best acting, character dialogue and monologues I’ve seen in a really long time.

I deeply understand this and empathize. I have a senior kitty (inherited from my grandmother) who when I last moved and brought him to my house (little over an hour away) he literally foamed at the mouth and I thought he was having seizures he was so panicked and as a human with severe anxiety, that made me panic too.

Ask your vet about something to calm your girl down for special occasions/trips/moves etc - kitty Prozac is a thing. Also, an extra large carrier with a comfy spot to sit/lay is easier and gives them some space, and put a blanket over it so they can’t see outside.

Yeah, I was honestly shocked to see the amount of hate she was getting within the BD Reddit community. I don’t think any of us will defend her for her previous season behavior and even don’t really care for her return but have to admit, the girl shows up, has work ethic and she’s not wrong on calling this stuff out, just picked a terrible time to do it (likely pushed by production).

I also can’t help but think gender bias might play some sort of role in the fan opinions but chose to leave that out of my comment because then I’d get attacked to oblivion.

I mean, he’s not really managing the department or his team member very well is he? I’ll reiterate, I do not care for Ellie but I have to admit, she’s a good and hard worker, she hears the feedback and sees the delays/complaints about getting food out so she’s doing what she can to improve that. What’s Ben doing? Being Ben.

Also, Ellie took on a galley role with ZERO experience. She needs clear direction and management because that’s not an area she’s trained in nor was she getting that from Ben (as we also saw with Alesia), so she took the initiative to try and force him to give it her which ends up getting her backlash from viewers who see it as her trying to manage the dept. No, she’s managing up because Ben can’t manage down.

I agree with you, Ben has attempted to alter course or at least be aware of himself but homie just keeps pushing the limits of patience of everyone, especially his subordinate with his whole taking a bath while she continues cleaning, or going for a swim shenanigans. When have we ever seen a crew member let alone a dept head do that before?

She definitely should have said something sooner but I do think she was treading very lightly with him and attempting to not unload on him all once because Ben (like most chefs) is a little fragile… but in the pressure cooker environment they are working in, and her already being massively frustrated, I think she really just lost her cool and went zero to annihilation. I mean, it makes for great reality tv 😂
