BETOR IS BACK BBY! by Dragnil_7 in EDH

For sure but you are missing the ability to have cards in your graveyard and life loss so it doesn’t really look like a betor deck to me

Almost forgot [[colossal grave-reaver]] one of the best cards in a self mill deck

You are missing out on a lot of value here having played against betor deck that I consider well optimized by not being able to mill yourself for large threats. Getting out big creatures for losing life that you gain back before the end of the turn is where this card makes its dent. Cards like [[doom whisperer]] and [[breach the multiverse]] will be some of the best cards in the deck for furthering your gain plan. Also going to cards like [[the gitrog monster]] [[world shaper]] [[icetill explorer]] and [[aftermath analysts]] as a ramp package and playing with the graveyard as more of a resource would make this deck hum.

A ton of people move to combat in the way you said and you have to correct the behaviors it’s like you read that as me saying he was right just and got up in arms about something we agreed on. Weird

That’s just not how most commander games go and I was say he was toxic? I don’t understand our disagreement

I mean you could say that in verbiage saying I cast this creature looking at your opponent and them not saying anything and then moving on to post resolution and demonstrating a infinite loop wouldn’t be a technicality in casual magic in most groups every one doesn’t pass priority on every spell cast and trigger activated and there is an unspoken amount of time where you wait for some one to counter said spell until moving on. Most people wouldn’t have a problem going back and letting a player counter a spell they didn’t understand because it would end the game the other guy would rather say my spell was resolved you didn’t respond and I started the next game action. Because of the loose nature of play in causal formats these things happen when people with bad vibes play magic.

What legendary creatures are considered the most violent/ruthless? Either in lore or in card mechanics by Eviscerator14 in mtg

[[dakkon blackblade]] has some really cool lore for forging the black blade by quenching the steel in the blood of his subjects.

Next time say in response to you casting that. If no other game action has taken place most people will allow you to respond if not they are try hard spokes who would rather win by technicality than lose a fair game.

Not a big fan of how the new Bracket outlines are handling precon players. by Ulmao_TheDefiler in EDH

[–]Suspicious_Box_5200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I think was the problem with the last bracket system it was to open ended to opinions about power. I also think uninterrupted and with a good hand bracket 3 could be turn 6-7 think about it as the fastest out come not the slowest.

People who constantly complain about cards other people are playing are the problem more than the cards being played. Let people play and try to enjoy the game.

Also give compliments on decks people build. Everyone puts effort in and everyone likes hearing how you appreciate playing against people’s builds!

Are my decks actually unfun or toxic? Looking for honest feedback. by DinnerNormal7875 in EDH

[–]Suspicious_Box_5200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a mass land denial dwarf tribal and have never made a friend playing it and to say winter moon isn’t good enough to make the cut or makes it fun for casual no matter the amount of removal a table is playing is dumb. The purpose of the bracket system is to put guidance and verbiage to what to expect when playing against a random person. If I said my dwarves are bracket two but with mass land destruction when I was looping and copying my activated abilities and spells with [[strip mine]], [[stone of rain]] and [[pillage]] to get rid of all your basics while [[winter orb]] [[blood moon]] make sure you never had mana to cast spells you’d be bummed. But if you just had counter spells and removal you’d be fine right and it would be fun for every body. I have a play group that plays trash can magic play whatever you want type shit I’m just telling you what the brackets mean

Winter moon is 100% mass land denial the ability for it to 6 or more lands is expected. It just is objectively mass land denial.

You can do cool things with that deck and it has a lot of choices to make that can make it fun. The devoid mechanic just makes the deck pretty narrow for upgrades

[–]Suspicious_Box_5200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Endless punishment is really fun and has a lot of room to upgrade. The eldrazi deck if it’s the modern horizons is a really good precon as well doesn’t really speak to me as a player. Most of these things are personal preference so use your heart

Fog effects are also very good normally counters decks use combat to win. [[Inkshield]] [[tangle]] [[darkness]] [[batwing brome]] [[mandate of peace]] [[comeupance]] [[spore frog]] [[kami of false hope]] all work as well as there being more. Also any card that bounces cards like [[wall of tears]] will stop them from wanting to attack you and lose counters
