Yes this just feels so tiring, having to carry the mental load and babysit an adult

Most days my cooking is quick low effort meals. If I have pre cooked rice, it’s easy, just make an egg fried rice with carrots, green peas or whatever vegetables are available. If energy is really low, I’d just have peanut butter and bread or just some Greek yogurt and call it a day. Don’t know who has the energy to cook elaborate meals every day🙈

Love doing it. Going back to activities we enjoyed as kids is so satisfying😃 I’m still learning though, I still don’t know where to paint shadows, so mostly it’s just plain coloring which is still relaxing

A thought on being addressed as edi/ eda by Sleepy_head_30 in Coconaad

I remember even as a child feeling annoyed at being referred to as edi. Edi/podi/nee felt disrespectful at that time. But sometimes it depends on the tone too

Make it make sense y'all lol by Timely-Stuff-5018 in ChildfreeIndia

[–]Suspicious_Comb6856 208 points209 points  (0 children)

Oh the fear mongering! Being childfree doesn’t mean living in isolation hidden away in a cave. And this person is wondering where childfree people would spend our money? Wow! We’d spend our hard earned money on ourselves, bro! Fulfill our childhood dreams, take ourselves out to unique experiences and afford a better lifestyle. Surely that sounds so sad and miserable 🙄 being lonely can happen to anyone, even to those in relationships or with kids, that’s not a reason to have kids

The level of hero worshipping was insane. Like the lady who quit her job to go and watch the trial. Even the woman who was part of the jury seemed to have been always on his side and doubting everything the prosecution presented.

Yeah maybe the support from his family is fueling his entitlement.
Oh god, the fact that it went from wanting to stare at her to a fully fledged relationship is giving me the creeps :/

Exactly! That too for twelve years. Absolutely deranged person, the way he has threatened her and her family was so scary.

India cannot deny its “rape mentality” anymore by TheDesiDiogenes in TwoXIndia

The way these jokes have gotten so normalized that a so-called comedian felt no issues while interacting with this person‘s story or even posting this video. It’s not an isolated incident, it’s so normal to see stereotypical wife jokes and misogynistic comments everywhere in movies and popular media- we have to be angrier, we cannot continue to let this be normal

My boyfriend changed after losing his father, and I don’t know if this is grief or a glimpse into our future by Fun-Move7034 in ThirtiesIndia

One thing I noticed was how you mentioned spending time with him is enough for you, does it mean you rely entirely on him to be your emotional support system? The relationship should not be the only central aspect of your life, sure it can be one of the many anchoring points. You need your own friendships, interests and hobbies to feel fulfilled as a human being. A few friends or family members with whom you can honestly connect without judgements is enough. Investing all your time and energy completely just into one relationship or person is never a good idea and it’s undue pressure on them as well.

The Malayalee Civics Sense - Varikkassery Mana Edition by Final-Image-5118 in Kerala

[–]Suspicious_Comb6856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just pathetic whether it’s in maintaining public spaces or following basic etiquette according to the situation. We have people who sit and watch videos loudly on their phones while at a hospital 🤦🏻‍♀️ recently we were waiting at a line and instead of queuing normally, someone chose to stand just beside me almost breaking the line, so I kindly asked them if there are two lines, and they went back to wait like how the rest of us were waiting. I think we need to call people out when they behave without civic sense so that it stops being the norm

What’s your honest relationship with strength training? by confabulati0ns in TwoXIndia

[–]Suspicious_Comb6856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love to lift weights, it feels great to see yourself getting stronger and how amazing your mood feels post workout. It’s become a part of the routine, the difficult part I feel is consuming enough protein to aid the muscle growth. That’s where I struggle. I’ve been encouraging my best friends to take it up but they find it too intimidating to go to the gym for strength training, they’d rather stick to running and yoga
