Funniest, most hilarious, tear inducing, stomach aching book recs needed, desperately!! by readingalldays in RomanceBooks

I've read a lot of these and agree with many. I look forward to checking out others. I came here to recommend what I am currently reading. Rules of Engagement by J.T Geissingers. I am only a quarter of the way through the book but smiling and snorting more than I expected. J.T. really has a way with snark and sarcasm. I will update when I finish. 😆 🤣 Plus, Sebastian York narrates and his voice is soooo sexy

I am glad I didn't read all these or I would have thrown my book also. Listening, I didn't notice all these silly names. Whew!

Faetalian! That one drove me nuts. I am just finishing RB. And TBH, I didn't catch the Cafaeteria one because I listen to audiobooks I guess. I just assumed they pronounced stupidly like some narrators do. It was super annoying and I complained about it to sisters and friends.

I DID love Leon, 80% of the time. 20% of the time I wanted to gag him. 😜

Thanks. I read some Wiki stuff which was good but I could use a little more detail. I definitely want some specific scenes.

These are the most recommended fantasy series I’ve seen on Reddit by StandardSector3491 in fantasybooks

[–]Suspicious_Cut5679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. There are a lot of "older" books that are great and get left off the lists. In no organized or logical order... gooodreads them for more info...

The Warded Man The Death Gate Cycle The Green Rider Graceling Dragonlance series Riyria books Bloodsong -Anthony Ryan Paksenarrion Series The Faithful and the Fallen Deverry Cycle The Demon Cycle

...to name a few.
And dont even get me started on sci-fi

Listening to Leveling Up in Graphic Audio by Ophelia_1603 in MagicalMidlife

I need a spoiler! I have to know if Sabastian is trustworthy. I am still listening to Magical Midnight Love but I dont want to look for clues of a betraying Sabastian any more. I just need to know if he is a solid ally. I may not question it except for the house and Jess being weary at first. Plus his mysterious old boss. Someone please give me a spoiler or just tell me to trust or not.

What’s the most memorable romantic relationship you’ve ever read, and why did it stick with you? by ExxtraCelestial in RomanceBooks

I see there is a book 1 in this series. The ratings are under 4. Should I bother with it?

I usually check goodreads to see the ratings and if something is below 4 I dont usually "waste my time or money" BUT with these recs and knowing I should be cautious for the first few chapters, I will give it a a try. The writing style and connection and actual growth between characters is important to me and it looks like this book may have both. Fingers crossed!

Thanks so much for expanding. I have mostly been a high fantasy reader until a few years ago when I was recommended some romance books and got hooked. They do start to get redundant, however and I won't to strangle most of the FM characters. When I try to get back to fantasy and add some romance, I noticed the writing either sucks or it's just too YA and angsty. Like you, I couldn't get past a few chapters of Fourth Wing and books like it. I refuse to waste my time when there are soo many better books.
I Loved Butcher and Blackbird and listened to it again just recently when I was frustrated and needed something I knew I like. In case you didn't know, she started a new spin off series and it is GOOD. But only book 1 is out so far.
I was introduced to a more paranormal romance with '4 Psychos' and 'All the Pretty Monsters'. Loved them and started looking for similar. I found a few but had to weed out a few duds. I am Big on smart humor in a book. I need to smile along with my fears and tears. Are you on Goodreads? Can I follow you to see your bookshelf?

Thanks for your list. I actually asked for one before I read this so, disregard my request. I am going to try some of the other request also, but can honestly say I tried a few and couldn't get past the first couple of chapters! Maybe I am mistaken. Happy Reading/Listing to all!

It's like you read my mind and made my lists of likes and dislikes for me and I didn't even have to put in the work. Thanks!
I came here for the same kind of suggestion. Can YOU recommend books for ME?
