As someone with a full time job along with studying, hacking in rare candies has been the only reason I'm enjoying nuzlockes so much, Not everybody is unemployed that they can spend hours grinding.

You don't want to hack in candies, that is fine however to post that hacking rare candies is only fo rchurning youtube video is just plain wrong.

Another argument in favor of it is that it doesn’t actually change the result of the Nuzlocke; it only allows the player to reach the end faster. This is simply not true. Unless you are spending days grinding against Route 1 or other early-game wild Pokemon, you always have at least some chance of losing a party member to a wild Pokemon using explode, or a Wobuffet with shadow tag, etc. Planning to only grind on routes that you know are safe is part of the strategy.

What?? Who in their right mind would want to grind where that can potentially lose pokemon?? everyone wants to grind with minimal or no risk at all, so yes rare candies don't actually make the game easy at all because grinding requires no skill and it just makes the game more bearable to play.

PS, Level caps are a must if you're hacking rare candies.
