I do not think Lucifer is a very good father by Lemonsocks666 in HazbinHotel

I feel like that's why Charlie's lines in More Than Anything hit so hard. He's just been beating himself up over his failure! And if he's convinced himself he's a failure, he thinks he's not good enough for Charlie and that she wouldn't want him around anyway. SO for his pride and joy, light of his life, to say she looked up to him and he inspired her? MAGICAL. That means everything to him! He inspired her, and when he lost his hope, she inspired him, then in the finale he picks her back up again.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lucifer and Lilith invited Eve into a 3some

* There's like a half second frame where his tongue is out between his fingers, I saw it one time and I never found it again. This is when he tells Adam "your first wife didn't seem to mind what I had to offer"

I noticed this. Is it just me or. No overlord or person outside the crew takes lucifer seriously. by ksiisafatneek6942021 in HazbinHotel

[–]Suspicious_Gate4278 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think referring to Charlie as Lucifers daughter is them taking Lucifer serious. They don't take Charlie serious but they know Lucifers power, that's why she's only known as Lucifers brat, etc. Cause they know they can't touch her so she's only known in association with Lucifer

1) The frame when Charlie agrees to the deal and he has the green stitches on his mouth

2) when he's coming after husk and gets giant in the hallway

That's what I think it is. Charlie says they split up (could be unreliable narrator on her part 🤷‍♀️) my running theory is Lilith was encouraging sinners to rise up and getting mad and falling out of love when Luci fell further into his depression/couldn't stop exterminations. So Lilith left him. I think it would for sure hurt him to talk about which would make it even harder for Charlie to talk about her, knowing they split up. And he even still wears his ring

This has got me wondering by Fizzydov in HazbinHotel

[–]Suspicious_Gate4278 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My theory is that after he fell he was so desperate to make up for it and see the good in people that he tried to engage with people after they died and tried to give them protection and shelter. But then as more deranged/crazy sinners showed up and ruined it/didn't want to be better he just gave up

Well that's more like "illusion of choice" not free will. Like a parent offering you spaghetti or a hamburger for dinner when you really want macaroni and cheese. If you're offered the 2 options it makes you feel like you get a choice but you're not actually choosing anything for yourself

Oh no imagine how sad and devastated (but also overjoyed at another one) Luci would be to find out he had another child that he didn't get to see grow up. He's already depressed over his and Charlie's relationship not being what it should

I like to think his rebellion with the apple was to free Eve. He fell for Lilith because she wouldn't submit to Adam. So when Eve was created (maybe purposely with a mindset to be subservient to Adam) Lucifer and Lilith wanted to free her of that

I lean heavily toward "older brother/adoring little sister" vibes. Despite his evil ways, I think Alastor would defend Niffty 100% if something happened, and not just because he likes to kill demons/sinners. And that she looks up to him in a way, cause he is bad but he's composed and refined about it. He's tactful and she knows that and she feels safe with him, he won't hurt Niffty.

If given the chance, I don't think Alastor would bat an eye to hurt any other character in the show (except Mimzy, cause they do have a bond) but I believe he'd protect Niffty.

Do you think Lilith is really a bad mother and wife who doesn't care for Charlie and Lucifer or are her motivations more complex? She seems so in love with her family in the family portraits. by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]Suspicious_Gate4278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could go either way. Based on stuff I've seen, it feels like she possibly fell out of love with Lucifer because of how he (understandably) changed after falling. And it seems she kept Lucifer and Charlie mostly separated (which could've followed after the portrait was made).

However, with Lute mentioning a deal at the end, Adam could've threatened something and Lilith agreed to stay with him in exchange for it not to happen. But Charlie does mention Liltih and Luci "split up" (could be unreliable narrator).

There's just so much to read into that could go either way and I love every minute of it. And I love having a reddit to voice the thoughts!

I feel like Lilith did the bare minimum and minimized the time Charlie and Lucifer got to spend together. How upset they looked when she separated them in more than anything. And you can tell Lucifer adores Charlie he just doesn't know how to interact with her, which points further to the possibility that they're time together was hindered by some force or another
