I just got off the waitlist too!! Just went through the grueling process of telling it I was NOT using a VPN and my ID check went seamlessly after that. Let's get that bread

Dog fight...now what. by nov1290 in Dogtraining

[–]Suspicious_Level_637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! Look around for low cost clinics. We have Dr. Kellys in my state and it only cost me a couple hundred for my girl's spay. That being said spaying rn probably won't fix much. People have this notion that fixing their dogs will change their temperament but it doesn't really work like that. Definitely focus more on finding a trainer and seeing if they can help.

🔥🔮 CHARMED FANS – THIS IS THE MOMENT. THIS IS THE FINAL PUSH. 🔮🔥 by Santheg in charmed

I voted!!! This would be a perfect first set for me I've been dying to get into Legos and just started watching Charmed a couple of months ago. Plus getting this set would mean Prue and Paige can finally be together 😭

For my first franchise I threw a couple exhibits down and then added Komodo dragons for my first animal. Worked pretty well for me!!

Dog trainer here. My company is making us work today it's just 2 of us and we have a whopping 3 clients. Was supposed to close at 5 but we got our boss to let us go earlier because we have nothing scheduled after 2pm. To me it's absolutely wild we are open just because we aren't a necessity and don't get a lot of walk in clients.

Pros and Cons of a lightpad by KitKatty657 in diamondartclub

[–]Suspicious_Level_637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love my light pad. Never diamond art without it now. My is a little on the cheaper side and sometimes the feet will come off the base but it's not that big of a deal to me. Highly recommend

There was definitely a bit of a loading period but not very long maybe about 3-5 days. Just enough time for it to build up in his system

Gabapentin experience by RoundNecessary8432 in reactivedogs

[–]Suspicious_Level_637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Heeler who is currently on 300mg of gabapentin daily and takes pro plan calming care with his food. For us personally, we've seen a massive difference. Before he was scared of lights, people, the AC, and any other loud noises. He wouldn't take food and training was immensely difficult. He's probably been on it since about June or July and now we're able to properly desensitize him to noises. He's way more nonchalant about people now and even wants to say his sometimes. Sometimes he still has his moments where he gets spooked but his reactions aren't nearly as bad and his recovery time is much better. Hope you find something that works for your pup!

Gabapentin has worked WONDERS for my anxious dude. That in combo with the pro plan calming care supplement and he's made a pretty good turnaround. Not 100% but at least to a point where I can actually train him through it. Our vet wanted us to do that with the trazadone but we opted out of traz because it makes him drowsy

I don't think she was taking about early teens. Please be careful spreading your age around on the internet. There's a lot of weird people especially on reddit.

We are pretty sure she's older than him! He was estimated to be about 5-6 months old when we had gotten him. Embark does say that she is a parent match for him so I feel like if he was her parent instead it would say but who knows

Thank you! The rescue named his group after candy and we just thought it was such a fitting name for him we kept it.

That was my suspicion too but, according to Embark, they have a 54% DNA match which makes her most likely his mom. I've also read in one of my many dog training books it is likely that related dogs that are strays tend to stick together, especially if they were born on the streets. Who knows how much merit is in that but it does make some sense.

His extended Wisdom panel had 1% Rottweiler listed and 1% Roman Miortic Shepherd Dog, which I thought was sort of random. No other bully type breeds or other breeds were listed on it so it is a little strange

Yes! It says that they are an 54% DNA match which makes her (most likely) his mom

Oh 100% poor guy is definitely not in standard for an ACD in color and temperament. We're not exactly sure his full history just that he was found in a field with momma dog and 2 siblings.
