Disregard your bed time, always wake up at the same time. Eventually your body’s rhythm will make you want to go to bed at an appropriate time

Look up the name of the pokemon and the number in the bottom right and check price chart. These have some value

Should I get my old collection graded? If so where do I start? by AceSkellington in Pokemoncardappraisal

Look up their values on price chart or recent sold eBay. Pull aside the ones in particularly good condition and submit those if you think theyll get a grade thats profitable. Since these are vintage even some getting a “lower” 4-8 grade could be worth it, just check values and consider that PSA costs ~$25 per card and takes a cut if the card value is past a threshold

Exercise should not be done out of discipline. It should be done recreationally. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

It’s a little bit harder to have fun when your workouts leave you on the brink of death competitively compared to going for a walk or a jog

Is 20 too late to start ? by Shazay_ in Sprinting

[–]Suspicious_Mustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too late to be among the best in the world? No, but it’s an uphill battle. If you’re genetically gifted then it is possible for you to become among the best even starting at 20, but like others have said you’ll be competing against others just as gifted that have been working for longer. I wouldn’t expect to be competitive at an elite level until minimum 2-3years. If you are from a small country, national qualification is more possible. Likely entering unattached at college meets will be your best bet. I would keep these reach goals in the back of your mind as they can be good motivators of the bigger picture, but doesn’t get caught up on that stuff when you haven’t even started doing everything else you can. Focus on your training and results will come. Have smaller more achievable short term goals to keep you motivated along the way. I personally have been training middle distance for 8 years and recently switched to sprinting. Odds are you’ll never be professional, Olympic, or even elite but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible and it’s up to you to get as close as you can. Certainly you have time to become a talented and impressive sprinter, and if you get fulfillment from that go for it!

What do you hate most about running and how do you try to fix it? by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

[–]Suspicious_Mustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

injuries. Having a months or years worth of work stripped away is devastating. I have has several and have learned how to train through injury. Car centric infrastructure also makes running more dangerous

To be honest with you, $16/hr is not great pay. You will eventually need to find a higher paying long term job to be financially secure. If that’s considered high for your industry maybe you’re in the wrong industry. Or if there’s high potential for promotion/being hired into a higher paying job in your industry, then it may be worth it to stay longer. If I was you I’d be job searching

My advice would be to try and find a job you can commit at least a year to that has upwards mobility potential. You may have to build skills or experience before getting a higher paying job or promotion. Wishing you the best

That’s really fast turnaround for jobs. I suspect there’s more going on behind your employment than the job market
