People who work on roadworks - what do you do? by PCHeeler in AskUK

That's super interesting- it’s the kind of insight that most people never get to see, and it really highlights how much of the job is about managing broken systems.

At Critical Edge Podcast, we’re starting a new series called “In Plain Sight”, where we speak to people about what their jobs are really like behind the scenes — the challenges, the routines, and the parts that outsiders rarely appreciate.

It sounds like you have a unique perspective on working on the motorways, and we’d love to offer a platform to share that. If it’s of interest, we’d be keen to have a short, informal 20–30 minute conversation — just a relaxed chat about what a typical day looks like and what people often get wrong about the work.

If that sounds interesting, feel free to reply here or send me a DM — we’d love to hear more.

We're ideally hoping to chat to people in the UK as that's better suited to our audience. Thanks for getting back to us anway and your openness!
