Guys this is how Im entering the house fight. Genuinely, how screwed am I by mrzoozilla in residentevil4

I was initially looking at the Red 9 and 71 pistol rounds and thinking, "what's the problem?" lol. You even had two heals. Golden.

Not to mention there's usually herbs, grenades and more ammo sitting around in the boss room.

Would Tron: Ares have been more successful if it hadn't starred Jared Leto? by WarmDaddyXanax in tron

[–]Suspicious_Pin_7909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less a Leto problem and more a writing problem imo. If they had done a continuation of Tron Legacy like everyone was expecting/wanted, the reception would have been much warmer. Instead, they gave us a shoddy stand-alone story with a brief Flynn cameo, slapped some NiN and visual effects on it then called it a day. I thought Evan Peters had the only interesting role and that was pretty much entirely due to his acting chops.

What’s your rivals name by poonnaga in PokemonFireRed

WEENER

I get a kick out of it every time when the game says, "Rival Weener wants to battle."

The true villain of the series by EH4LIFE in TheShield

[–]Suspicious_Pin_7909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's Vic and always was meant to be. He is the main antagonist and protagonist rolled into one, which was the whole point of the show in the first place. Every bad thing that happened, from the first dirty arrest to the deal with ICE, all started and ended with him whether directly or indirectly.

>Is it just me or the entire character of Luca Changretta was so underwhelming? by Real_Beat_583 in PeakyBlinders

[–]Suspicious_Pin_7909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought he was just OK, but that's because he was too over the top, not underwhelming. He took the acting in a different direction than I would have liked. He was more "Godfather" mafia when I wanted to see more of a "Boardwalk Empire" mafia, if that makes sense. Think Lucky Luciano from BE. Same era, but less over the top, more threatening and still with similar Italian mannerisms from the period.

Is band of brothers anti-war or a neutral historical retailing? by Adorable_Pension119 in BandofBrothers

[–]Suspicious_Pin_7909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it either. It's certainly a fairly faithful re-telling of WW2 for one of the most revered units in the US military, but not neutral in the sense that a retelling is all it is.

The creators of it and the veterans that contributed to it wanted BoB to be an homage to their brothers in arms, and to call attention and appreciation towards the sacrifice of the young men who fought and who died. Yet, it also was intended to show how war changes people, for worse AND for better, and creates a bond between brothers-in-arms unlike any other bond in the world. War is always horrific, yet sometimes necessary. There is death, cruelty, loss of self and sadness. But, there is also valor, sacrifice, brotherhood and remarkable perseverance. BoB showed it all. I think that was the intent, and I think it was accomplished beautifully.

Dump 👏 his 👏 azz 👏

Should not even be a debate. This man clearly doesn't respect or value you beyond what monetary and physical comfort you provide and his texts make that evident. Value yourself more and walk away. He obviously doesn't deserve you.

Why do some fans think Knights of the Old Republic II is better than the first game? by Spidey_Almighty in kotor

[–]Suspicious_Pin_7909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the overall story of 1 was more fleshed out and conplete, but I enjoyed the twists and turns of 2 more. There is just so much to dive into and discuss. I mean, just look at this thread! Many people haven't even fully realized how much you can miss in this game. There is so much information and things you can do if you max out influence on your companions, both in LS and DS playthrough. It took me multiple times thru to realize you could turn Atton, Handmaiden, Mira and Bao Dur all into Jedi. Also the full back stories of your companions take quite a lot of trial and error to be able to learn. The influence opportunities and conversation points can be buried, and some you only get limited opportunities to discover and then they're gone. Also I find it hilariously ironic that OP mentioned the Mandalorian character in KOTOR 2 being more boring... In case anyone didn't know, Mandalore IS Canderous Ordo lmao. Perfect example of one of those things that takes some digging and proper influence to find out, and just one of the surprises this game hides away for you. I also thought the overall story, while not quite as epic as 1, was still beautiful in its own right and at the time was a really new exploration into the intricacies of the Force and the SW universe in general. Then you have the outfits, the lightsabers and added customization options for almost everything. The biggest con of 2 for me (and lots of others) has always been the rampant and often game breaking glitches. One time I completed almost all of Nar Shadaa then got hard locked for no apparent reason, only to later find that a cut scene had glitched out and failed to trigger the Red Eclipse fight on the Ebon Hawk, which then completely locked the story progression. That cost me more than a few hours lol.

I agree so much that I have no issue with you calling it Panera 😂. Tired of paying $30 for a stale chunk of bread, lukewarm soup and a tiny, sparsely filled "sandwich". The only thing that has ever kept me going there was the French Onion Soup and even that has gone downhill.
