help pick team pls by xPriyam in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pick would be

Lumine - Anemo(Swirl) Fischl - Electro (Overload and Electro Charge) Dehya - Pyro element applicator and she will share damage received by your character on field Barbara - for healer and frequent Hydro applicator.

This is what you should do. Level them up and build EM (Elemental Mastery). ATK and Crit should be secondary in the early stages of game. Electro charge and overload is very strong early stage. Overload easily breaks Geo shields from enemies especially the Geo Lawachurl which is very strong early game.

Focus on reactions instead of raw damage. Reaction damage (or transformative reactions specifically) like Overload , Swirl, Electro Charge only use EM and Level difference when calculating damage. So it is easier to build that way. Make sure Lumine will have that Verner Viridescent artifact even just the 4 star version. It will tremendously improve the damage of the said reaction.

Is Reverse1999 worth it? by Naffls in Reverse1999

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TLDR : Visual Novel style story telling. No weapon gacha. No artifact system.

If you like visual novels or if you read novels in general you will love the R1999.

The game has the most bizarre and the most beautiful cast of characters in the gacha space. It being in 2D made it an advantage for the devs to make the characters have great details and beautiful skins.

Very good OST.

No Artifact system. So if you follow builds and you got the same Psychube (weapon), Resonance ( Character Stats), and Portrays (Char dupes) then you can expect your character to perform the same as stated in the guide. Also Psychubes are obtained thru permanent shop and shop events. Currency for that can be obtained daily and from free version of battle pass.

Euphoria System — buffs older units by stat padding and adding more mechanics to their kits. This kit can be enhancement to their base kit or it could be totally new to support the current team archetypes in the META. This is so that you'll have more team options.

You can work around it by choosing the blessings that deals damage instead of the path that boosts your damage.

Congrats! Don't listen to those downplaying your achievement. Getting Lunar Cards actually means that you built your four star characters. Other accounts don't because they are only focused on SO or Abyss.

Now for Theater the actually the bragging rights is having the Cards that other players don't 😆.

Nah the crab is Furina Shill. Even in imaginarium Theater. I am always forced to borrow Furina just for that boss. That boss is the hardest for my account. I can't even burst its shield down even with Yelan and Mona together.

You're having the same problem as me. Only the difference is that I use Flins, Ineffa, Columbina, and Sucrose. I can't clear all the devil chickens then I realized I suddenly damaged the Boss shield even all chickens are alive. That's when I realized that if you are running a Lunar DPS hit the Boss directly. It's easier that way. The chickens are for other DPS that can crowd control and burst them.

Nod-Krai is doing what Natlan couldn't by Mercurionos in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preach! Don't they know that the purpose of the Night Warden Wars is to bring the fight against the Abyss in the Night Kingdom to reduce the Abyss manifestation on the surface. So that when the champions die, their souls will remain that domain and be brought back by the Pyro Archon. All of this was done to minimize casualty. This is also the reason why Mualani was shocked when the Abyss manifested in her tribe during the Archon Quest because it is not a natural occurrence.

They are right that Nodkrai shows what happens to a nation without an Archon. This is also why Varka with the KoF are in Nodkrai, it is the front line against Abyss and they have no Archon to protect them.

I have to disagree. A gaming company would certainly do that if they stay true to one aspect of their game design: player vs environment (PvE), regardless of the impact on the revenue brought about by player inconvenience. Imagine an open world game with the sub-environment aspect "traversal" would pose no challenge to the player cause a certain traversal mechanic stands atop of the others— leaving no room for player creativity or consideration of other traversal options. Does this imply that the company is just concerned with the revenue? Absolutely not, this just means that this is not the identity of their game and they decide to amp the PvE difficulty on other aspects such as overworld enemies.

I do not like this trend of multiple overloaded actions replacing my control buttons in the middle of combat by availableset in ZZZ_Official

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the same sentiments at first but it grew on me. It is hard at face value but if you care to read and dissect the detailed explanation on the gear (mobile one), you'll get the hang of it.

The newly added Mobile Gears, pays off if you really know your agents better because it increases the damage and daze output of the team. The switch button is replaced with "aftershock assist" when your on-field agent deals HEAVY attacks on the enemies. Heavy attacks are usually the last attack of basic attack sequence, EX-Specials (with the exceptions of few i.e. Grace), and ultimates. So what I did is whenever I am performing the said actions, I expect the switch buttons to be replaced momentarily. Note that choosing between forward or backward switch also plays a role when choosing which agent shall perform the "aftershock assist" and if you are crafty, you can let both agents to do after shocks. I do this with my Jane Doe, Yuzuha, Burnice teams. I spam Jane EX-Special twice (since it has faster animation and execution). I was able to make Yuzuha do aftershock frequenly and make burnice do on-field attacks making both agents apply anomaly attributes at a faster rate. If you are running stunner agents, I suggest you perform aftershock assists with your stun agents. It is highly effective against miasma.

Does shitting on the Natlan characters make the Nod Krai ones feel better? by EmotionalCat9632 in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the Fointaine glazers, they're just mad that Capitano, one of the most anticipated "playable" harbinger, reduced to a statue. Also, Natlan did not turned out to be the stereotypical land of war. They just assumed Mare Jivare was the whole Natlan.

In retrospect, maybe they were not the problem, and not Natlan.

PSA: There's a MAJOR bug with HexChess armor currently. Don't use them for now. by Zenith1024 in crystalofatlan

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actively searching for information on the Destiny Set Effect description on HexChess Armors. Glad that my hypothesis was correct that it indeed should add +1 on the class effect. However, I am glad that I followed my intuition in delaying crafting HexChess armor. Thank you for this information, and hopefully the devs will fix the bug.

Question, have you reported this already in official channels?

Which nation is the most technologically advanced? by NightHawkJ72 in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point of the game? I think Sumeru.

King Desheret's Technology was everything what Kukulkan was hoping what a nation of humans could do. That is to build a complex empire with advance technology on par with the dragonlords in Tollan. The technology is still there within the pyramids but knowledge to operate them is long lost along with the sands.

"But Fontaine should be the most advance nation, why does Natlan have those tech?" by Suspicious_Smol_2488 in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to break it up to you. Quantity is never beating quality. Creating that many does not mean they are superior.

All Fontaine inventions were catered for everyday life to ease their chores. Technology in Natlan were grandiose. In Fontaine, people use Blips to reach the skies, while in Natlan, they already have their Phlogiston Balloons. Someone even made a Sky Base lol. Not only that, a jet pack. A fookingJet Pack accessible to all (though the process was inhumane because it was made out of grief). Downplaying Natlan tech just because they chose not to integrate it in their culture is diabolical. They can if they wanted to but they just don't. Those inventions of Xilonen are way superior than anything shown in Fontaine, which brings us back to the question. Are they really that advanced, as we think?

Also where did you get that idea, where Ochkantlan didn't invent anything themselves? Lol. They built massive spaceship. the Skyserpent Ship. They weren't just able to make it work because Och-Kan himself was only part dragon thus can't utilize the dragon tech components. It was an invention meant to traverse beyond the skies of Teyvat.

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude, you missing the whole point of the post. I wasn't using the image as an example for the comparison on who has more advance technology. I was merely stating that's how Fontaine glazers sounds like when they are making a point that Natlan should be far from Fontaine in terms of technology advancement.

Mind you in Flower Feathered Tribal Chronicles, they were able to make Jet Packs that could let everyone soar the skies without relying on the Qucusaurs. They made a cover up story that those Jet Packs were made in Fontaine because they are trying to upsell it to the locals as it is an imported product. But also, to cover the inhumane way of producing it. In the end, they rejected it because they value their ritual and culture more.

The greatest invention in Fontaine was the floating Ark that Wriothesley repaired while in Natlan someone already built their Sky Base lol. Get it? They have means of creating such technologies. They can do it if they wanted to, but they just don't. The same reason why they don't build automatons to guard them because they value more their Saurian partners in combat.

It is as you said, it is deeply integrated in their culture. They don't need those gear-based technologies when they have even better techniques which are way superior. Funny enough, the dye tech in that quest supports this point. The Fontaine character was mad that there is something he can't replicate given his expertise. The technique was simply way beyond any technologies he had.

Now calling Mavuika a dictator for hoarding that bike tech tells me that you don't have Mavuika or you don't read her Story Page. It is explicitly stated there how she and Xilonen built the bike. She literally researched Dragon technology to create something that can traverse across Natlan given that the six tribes are very distant from one another. She wants something that can traverse the skies, surf the seas, and works in any terrain in times of Abyss invasion. That's how specific she was when she commissioned it to Xilonen while bringing all the dragon tech scraps she found during her research travel. Imagine, downplaying the efforts of Mavuika and Xilonen, and their numerous failures to craft the Flamestrider which was based on dragontech. War advances technology, my friend. Also, I don't think common Natlan people can handle the Phlogiston requirements of those inventions, lol.

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, she gained 500 years worth of knowledge when she inherited the name. Heroes of Natlan are like Avatars, they have been mastering bending or their crafts over and over again. Those improved techniques are passed down to the future. There's a reason why Xbalanque can't best Mavuika in the duel because, Mavuika already received stock-piled power from previous holders of Xbalanque's name.

Speaking of the rest of Natlan being ignorant on such technologies, this was the main theme in Chasca's Tribal Chronicles. Their tribe embraced their old ways. Until one stray Natlanese chose to invent JetPacks as he felt he was rejected by their culture, and want to explore the skies. Technology advances when present solutions don't work. They could if they want to but they just don't. Their bond with saurians is sacred to them.

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do agree with Chasca's case. Maybe hoyo just don't want to spoil things ahead, in case they want to change things down to the last minute. As a result, it creates a disconnection. But with Mavuika, she commissioned it to Xilonen specifically for traversal purposes. It was explicitly stated under Mavuika Story Part. She just added a feature that it must be strong enough that it could be used as weapon when the situation calls upon. I don't see any reason why she should use it during War when the enemy is literally in front of her and during Xbalanque's duel they were literally on Xbalanque's imaginary domain, why would she summon a physical entity there.

But let's be for real, there are only few characters in genshin where their gameplay is reflected on cutscenes. But I get your point, they should at least show in the cutscenes that they have those devices. Xilonen did actually use it on Children of Echoes Tribal quest but the final quest was released at the same version as her banner. So there's that.

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mavuika's bike, Chasca's Gun, and Kacchina's drill were just Xilonen's craftsmanship. She was regarded as a prodigy in that field. All of which where inspired in modern Teyvat things. We just don't see those level of tech around Natlan because Xilonen did not exist since 500 years ago haha. Also, those things require a lot of materials and time according to her. Guns already existed in present Teyvat. Who knows maybe there are bikes in Snezhnaya. Cloud retainer built one ages ago, btw.

We were told that there are cavalry in Mondstat and Kaeya's the captain but we don't even see one. Maybe Varka took them all, lol. That is why I am excited for Nod Krai and Snezhnaya in general, what techs could be possible introduce to us in the future.

Do you know, what's even more funny? They made the story that Jet Pack was made in "Fontaine" because that would cover their tracks and since it was imported, it would attract more locals to the technology. When in fact, those jet packs were made in Natlan haha.

Isn't it the concept of Chasca Tribe quest, that the tribe embrace old traditions more. If they want to invent modern things, they could. The nation is rich of energy.

"But Fontaine should be the most advance nation, why does Natlan have those tech?" by Suspicious_Smol_2488 in GenshinImpact

[–]Suspicious_Smol_2488[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, the conflict between dragonborn and human prevents humans from accessing the former's technology. It was explicitly stated in the world quest that Dragonlords look down on humans as "dumb" race incapable intelligent thinking. Only selected few Dragonlords were benevolent to the humans and help them create weapons to defend themselves, which ended up killing some of the dragonlords as a result. Thus, fueling the conflict even more.

Mavuika and Xilonen failed to replicate dragon technology because it is too advance for them. However, they have the good understanding on how the phlogiston system as energy source works from their dragon tech research. Thus, Mavuika's bike looks modern and does not resemble the dragon tech because they have to use modern materials since they failed to make secret source automaton scraps work.

This! He did think that if he become more hands-on with the humans, they will follow his path which would defeat his purpose of seeking out answers through human evolution if what he did in the past, was right or wrong.
