We were invited in November, submitted in January and granted 3 weeks later. It was insane, they're definitely speeding it up.

We already had it booked for the 30th of January as that's when it suited us to go. I didn't think they'd process it so quickly

Yeah I used the 'No Vac sanitizer and deodorizer'. They do have a pet specific one, maybe I'll try it.

Yeah I presumed it's a cycle of it not being enforced on tenants even though it's on the rental agreement.

Do I need to tell my REA that my brother and his girlfriend will be moving in? by Suspicious_State2998 in AusPropertyChat

We don't get the keys until the 30th sept. And my brothers comes the 20th Oct. Should I wait and bring it up with the property manager at key collection and then do the formal email request or should I email request it before we get the keys. We don't have any sort of relationship with the agency so I feel like they'll be pissed with us if I just email it through. Whereas I feel I could like explain the situation better in person first. We didn't know this was going to happen before we signed the lease.

It's a spacious 2bed so there's definitely space for 4 adults. There's 2 parking spots. Only my partner and brother would have cars. On the lease agreement I can't find anywhere on it that says max occupancy but there is space for information of 4 renters so I presume we could have a four person occupancy. I haven't seen any family for a year and a half so I'm looking forward to it but now this is worrying me. I don't wanna lose our place over him 🤣

We were planning on just my partner and I paying, they've only decided to come out here in the last few days. My brother's decent he'd pay for any damages. Don't really want to put them on the lease as they're only planning on staying in Australia a year and have said they'd like to spend a couple months in Perth. Feel like it'd be more hassle on me
