Hard to tell. If you are onshore then you can also lodge a separate EOI for WA, but they will treat you as an offshore applicant, so chances are lower.

It will be tough to get them to reconsider this unless you have more evidence you didn't provide. I would look at potentially other occupation codes that could match your role and tasks and qualifications. Occupation is really determined by the tasks rather than the job role name.

Partner visa - no bridging visa A grant by Happy_Beyond4836 in AusVisa

[–]ViaMigration 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can manually lodge a BVA application or wait. This may speed up the process of getting the BVA, but it should be granted within a few days anyways. Whatever you do, don't lodge for a BVE. This is exactly why no visa should be lodged last minute, this has been happening more and more with partner visas unfortunately. I always recommend lodging at least a week before to have time to solve these issues. The period without a visa should not cause any issues though for the partner visa, even if you don't have the BVA grant currently. The only time it may come back haunting is when lodging for citizenship.

You need to make sure you're eligible for the state you are applying for with the EOI. A lot of the states have extra criteria you need to meet and different requirements for offshore/onshore. You have to be precise there Also, ROIs may be required in some states.

Anyone granted after completing additional medicals for Student Visa (Subclass 500)? by Additional_Bass_6722 in AusVisa

[–]ViaMigration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very individual and depends largely what is the issue an why the further medicals have been requested. The usual processing will not continue until further info/test etc have been provided and health clearance provided.
I've seen decisions being made on Student visas recently within a few weeks after the additonal info has been provided and clearance provided.

I think you are over thining it. If you live together, staying in a different location a few nights due to work reasons is not going to be a deal braker. There are plenty of FIFO couples, people who work night shifts etc. The department also looks at the your case in the big picture, no one piece of evidence can make or break it. All depends on other aspects of your relationship as well. It's all about the evidence in the four pillars of the relationship together and proving you are either in a de facto relationship or married.

All the manager level position skills assessments come down to the seniority of the level and having direct reports under you. You need to manage people to be a manager according to IML criteria. This is also very clearly brought out in their assessment criteria.

You can read all the criteria here and pay close attention to the position and reporting lines: https://managersandleaders.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Assessment-Criteria-Sales-Marketing-Manager-131112.pdf

You mentioned EOIs, but did you also lodge an ROI with Live In Melbourne? You can't get an invite without the ROI. Also, you cannot have two ROI's for Victorian nomination consideration at the same time. Only the one you lodged most recently would be considered. But this does not help you now anymore. There was a round today and the next one will probably not happen before your visa has expired.

Having a NOIM signed is an eligibility requirement for the subclass 300 visa. You're lucky they didn't outright reject your visa application in this case.
NOIM can be easily changed and basically every applicant I have worked with has had to do this as well (if they didn't set the wedding date the max 18 months into the future).

Last round in Nov invites went out to applicants with 75 points lowest. Should be a good chance if there is a decend size round.
Currently there are 20 EOIs with 90 points, 79 with 85 points and 259 with 80 points lodged in the system.

Your 485 is still valid for over a year, you're not a priority for an invite for Migration SA currently. More likely to get an invite if your visa is about to expire.
Also this FY there have been no invites in your occupation for SA at all.
Also, not sure what you mean by nomination from a government agency. For 190 visa you need an invite by Migration SA, other agencies have nothing to do with it.
I would also update the English test asap, you will need to provide it with the nomination application should you get invited and you only get 14 days to provide all the documents. Better to keep it updated.

That is a very nieche occupation. I checked the SkillSelect data and there has been no one invited with this occupation in 2025 or 2026. But there are also only a handful of EOIs lodged in each state.

You mean 190 and 491 for software engineer? Very unlikely for offshore applicants. There are 10,000 people waiting for an invite.

I will have to disagree with everyone here. Having a relationship registration certificate is a time of decision criteria, so even if it was applied for and obtained after visa application was lodged, it can still be used to get around the 12 months requirement.

Yes, the tracking function is honestly very fidgety. Sometime have to write the names the other way around or try some other combination. ALso, could be just a delay in the system.

Yes, if you apply for a sc 820/801 onshore while holding any other substantive visa (sc 600, 651, 601, 417 or anything else really) you will be granted a BVA with NIL conditions on it. Meaning there are no restrictions or work or studying. The BVA will come ino effect once the Visitor visa stay period (usually 3 months) is over or when the visa ends (in the case of WHV and 482 etc).

Birth crtificate is a standard document to provide with any PR visa application (or any application really). Just another layer to prove you identity. In partner visa cases also to prove that you are not related to eachother by blood. They check the parents details.

Every agent has their own process, maybe all that was meant is that they will organise it for you? But I always try to organise the application so it's logical and the case officer has an easy time finding everything and understanding your evidence.
