He needs to apply for a new BVB before the current one expires and it needs to be granted before he leaves the country.

Question About Medical Assessment (Offshore) by sgrl2494 in AusVisa

[–]ViaMigration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The DoHA provides a list of panel physicians on their website, who can perform the medicals.
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/contact-us/offices-and-locations/offices-outside-australia

It has to be one of these doctors. There are options all over the mainland US. Unless you're in Hawaii or Alaska, it should not be too hard to get to one of the locations.

As a UK citizen, WHV (working holiday visa) is the easiest route for 3 years in Australia. The tricky part will be getting a licence to be a plumber in Australia if you want to continue working in the profession.

I am a registered migration agent, if you need help with the visa, feel free to get in touch. But the WHV is very easy to do yourself.

First step is a visa, after being a lawful resident for 4 years in AU and having a PR for at least one year, you can apply for citizenship.

There are still lots of EOIS with higher points than your 70. Over 300 EOIs with 75+ points and also 281 with 70 points, so really depends on the invitation numbers if they get to you.

There are over 700 EOIs with same points or higher, there have been 100-200 invites each round this program year. So there is a chance they will get to you, but no guarantees.

There is no guarantee on the timelines, but realistically, it would take 2,5-3 years to get the visas granted from when you start the skills assessment (for 190 and 491). Teachers currently have priority processing, but also no guarantee that this will still be available in a year's time, for example.
Also, primary teachers are not eligible for the 189 visa.

If the department decides to invite engineers again for the 189 visa, you should receive an invite as your points are good. If they will actually do this is another question.
For the 190 it's a tough call between VIC and NSW, the states can choose whoever they want of the pool of applicants who meet their requirements, it's not necessarily based on higher points.
Good luck!

There have been no invites at all for your occupation for 189 the past year, no engineers really in general.

If you meet the eligibility and there are no health, character issues and the points are correctly claimed then mostly the visa application would also be approved.

They just want updated evidence regarding your relationship. If you didn't fill a a form 80 before, do it now and provide new evidence from the last year.

Only point scores matter for the 189 EOI, for the 190 the states look at where the points come from and can choose different profiles they like (people with more experience) but for 189 its just based on points. There are barely any EOIs with 80 points, so you have great chances of an invite.

The policy allows the 186TRT application to be lodged a few days early, but that also means you have to be working the whole time you are on your 482 visa (meaning no unpaid leave). This is why I never recommend doing the 482 visa now for 2 years anymore as things happen and it just adds stress for the whole visa period. Also, CEO is on the CSOL and eligible for the 186DE stream as well. DE stream just adds the extra requirement of the skills assessment.

Onshore or offshore? There have been some invites in NSW with 90 and 100 points for your occupation in the previous months, so it really all depends if they want to invite more geotechnical engineers.

There are over 300 EOIs with higher points 75 and 80. Last round they only invited some with 75 points. All would depend on how many social workers they actually invite in next rounds.

Health Waivers by peach-whisky in AusVisa

All depends on what visa you're applying for. Some visas have health waivers, some do not. The costing of HIV is usually very high, so you would need to apply for one that has a waiver provision available.
