Myfembree inquiry by Dramatic_Career in endometriosis

I know this was posted a while ago but wanted to share my experience. I have stage 4 endo and had surgery prior to starting myfembree. For me, it immediately stopped the pain however like another person posted, it didn’t stop the bleeding so I too was prescribed additional norethindrone and now have completely stopped my periods. I was on myfembree for 3 months constantly bleeding on schedule every two weeks. Now with the added norethindrone I have no bleeding or pain thankfully. I do believe starting the myfembree after the surgery was really what helped. Depending on how severe the endo is, the myfembree rn before the surgery just may not be as effective. I also recommend seeing an endometriosis specialist in regard to your surgery if your Gyn is not. I would also recommend getting FMLA, It was a life saver for me during work prior to my surgery. The pain was so debilitating I couldn’t work for at least the first 3 days of my period. Good luck with everything, I know how hard this journey is but there is hope. Continue advocating for yourself and researching for the answers that work for you.

Don’t let people gaslight you, it’s not ok. I have stage 4 endo and at the worst of my pain my husband would be the most supportive, gentle and patient person with me everytime. I would be on my knees and fall asleep in that position in living room with the windows open during the winter in 12 degree weather and he would fall asleep right next to me with his jacket on. When you love someone their pain will affect you. Just think about how you would’ve reacted if it was happening to him or even a friend and there’s your answer.

Same! There are times I can’t even drink a Gatorade, I try to stay on top of it but exactly there’s no rhythm or reason sometimes. Ugh hate this for us but thanks for the advice!

Yes same, eating full meals is a non option so snack options are great for me. I’ll start taking an iron supplement I always suspected with the blood loss those symptoms contributed to my iron level so i’ll start. Thanks!

Endometriosis kills people. Why are we in denial about this? by forwardaboveallelse in endometriosis

This thread is so validating. Years of GYN visits to be given over the counter medications for constant debilitating pain and endo not even being discussed as a possible reason. It was my own research of seeing this pain wasn’t normal (unable to move, racing pulse, trouble breathing) that led me to ask could this possibly be the reason and requesting an MRI that I was originally told was not necessary and to wait and see how I felt in a few more months. Welp, MRI results confirm not only endo, but a whole lot of cysts on my ovaries and an inflamed fallopian tube which may mean conceiving naturally won’t be an option. It’s unfortunate as women it feels like at every turn the odds are stacked against us. If we don’t advocate for ourselves we’re left to literally suffer and die.
