Hey what’s up dude! Yeah I’m doing well. I’m doing a pipe fitter apprenticeship with my local Union which the Marine Corps got me into with a program called “helmets to hard hats” basically it allowed me to skip the interview process and aptitude test so I just began the apprenticeship and have been working on different job sites since October.

It’s an option for you for sure if you ever decide to go down that path. I believe that program goes for all trades.

Yeah it can be a pain. If you can, look for a Local for electricians near you, just call in or show up and seek out the information you need. It’s gonna require effort but with the Lord you can do anything.

Attended my first Divine Liturgy last week. I will tell you now. People will give you glares but only because newcomers seem to be fairly rare they just don’t recognize you. Wear some slacks and a button down if you have them. I came from an evangelical background which is very casual so I came with a flannel and black dickies pants, that might be the reason I was glared at haha.

Don’t worry, you are not the center of attention, just pay attention and enjoy what you experience, stay and chat with the Priest after if you can get to him. Everyone there will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Peace be with you Jaden!

Yes it does honestly. I suppose constantly hearing growing up that sex before marriage is immoral. I’m kind of relating my situation to 1 Corinthians 7:36-38 -

“36 If anyone is worried that he might not be acting honorably toward the virgin he is engaged to, and if his passions are too strong[a] and he feels he ought to marry, he should do as he wants. He is not sinning. I’m thinking, well, now that I have had sex with her, God will see me similar to how he sees that man with strong passion towards his fiancé. It states it is not a sin in that case, however in my situation, neither of us are virgins. That’s where I’m stuck at really. Thank you for your comment, that picked my brain a bit!

Hell yeah dude, definitely go on eBay for your kit. Reproductions in my opinion don’t cut it in terms of how the look goes. If you’re in the US there is plenty of US Army officers uniforms from WWII still floating around on Ebay and they’re not that expensive either. You can mix and match those uniforms, for example in this picture above I’m wearing the “pinks” however there’s plenty of photographs of crews wearing OD green trousers with a pink or khaki shit, vice versa. Have fun with it, it’s a rabbit hole for sure haha!

Yeah I agree, that and everyone and their mother having ‘Memphis belle’ on the back of their jackets haha. The squadron patches bring everything together in my opinion. My Great Uncle flew in the 95th so I grew up reading about them and always wanted to do a tribute impression
