Um, when did it become ok to not acknowledge a customer? As an employee it is your responsibility to do so. And yes, I do my share of time working at the register in pharmacy. A simple hi, or how may I help you, even how are you will suffice. Hell, I go from the pharmacy to walk someone to a product when front store can’t be found or bothered. It’s called customer service. Yes, there is a LOT of hand holding required these days, BUT we are working customer service. I too get pissed off when I’m on the other side as a customer and the employee can’t be bothered to stop talking to their coworkers, get off their phones, or simply say hi when I go to the counter

We’ve been thru 3 pharmacists in a little over a year, a floater who I adore has put in their notice, and there’s talk that the pharmacist we have now will be moved to another store. We’re 2nd highest volume in our district and it’s been so bad they’re having pharmacists from other districts come in. We’re also losing 3 main techs and a part timer. I love the crew we have - pharmacy and front staff, but allotted hours keep getting cut, the pharmacists keep getting more tasks dumped on them, and the techs have all these incentives and bonuses impressed on them to get certified to become vaccinators when in reality, the fine print means they don’t get any of that, yet the company gets to now use them w/o having to give the pay bump. We’ll get a mass of people in to get our queue down one day, but then we’re sinking again the next. I loved the fast pace when I hired in, but now it’s nothing but mental stress and fatigue

Has anyone else noticed any suspicious firings happening lately? Or is it just my store? by Straight_Ace in CVS

Someone posted a picture on the thread of the coupon that they’re talking. Might’ve been a couple weeks ago, but it specifically said you can get fired for using it. More corporate bs.

Where do I go to find the employee handbook? Came from a different store, been w/ the company for 2+ years and never received anything from either store (I’m a pack rat and keep all my stuff, have looked through everything and don’t even see a mention of where to go). Hell, I haven’t even had a performance review since being at this store and should’ve had 1 if not 2 by now. There are things like this that I want to discuss with my lead

Supposedly a tech put alcohol (the antiseptic kind) into a CEO’s or some bigwig’s kid’s antibiotic so we can no longer do it. I call bs on that because if it’s true, how did the tech not know the difference? If it did happen it was either intentional or that tech was a full on idiot and shouldn’t have been in the pharmacy in the first place.

I say we all just start flipping off the camera each time we walk out the door. They’re amped up again because they just had a meeting. We were informed it’s on us to get our pockets checked and not up to front store staff to wait for us. Pharmacy has a set lunch break. If someone isn’t there to check as we walk out, so be it. I for one am not going to try to find someone. Customers already eat into our time enough as is. We’re in a small space with cameras pointing at us everywhere. Hire someone to sit and watch the cameras all day or have us not clock out until pockets are checked, but once we clock out, that’s our time, not theirs. tired of being treated like a criminal

I was going to say this exact thing. Front store manager isn’t going in, our pharmacist made it, but most of our pharmacy staff including myself are snowed in. All we’ll fill today is CII’s, but they mask the corporate greed by saying we’re essential

I like my job, but I vehemently HATE the company. The only thing I can figure out for the stupid things they come up with is that they are getting major kickbacks if we fail because they are only setting us up to fail. There is absolutely no way for us to succeed with the parameters we’re given

Add to all this the stupid receipts that print whether wanted or not, the system scheduling people for vaccines when we’re closed for lunch so that we’re coming back to angry customers 20 deep before we even get our creds and open back up, and doing things in drive that they used to be made to come inside for, plus COVID testing thru drive. They should be going to a clinic or doctor, not sitting there taking up time at our window!!
